According to director (and Sum 41 drummer) Steve Jocz, the video is loosely based on the movie When in Rome, with a theme of magical coins that spur obsession when they’re thrown into a fountain.

The MTV Unplugged is coming back and will feature Katy Perry. The CD/DVD pack will be hitting stores on November 17th.

Katy recorded the MTV Unplugged performance at MTV’s Times Square studios in New York on July 22, 2009.

She included a cover of Fountains of Wayne’s ‘Hackensack’ in the show and a never before original tiled ‘Brick By Brick’.

Katy Perry To Release MTV Unplugged Album

According to Amazon.com, Katy Perry will be releasing an MTV Unplugged CD/DVD pack on November 17th.

The singer goes back to her acoustic singer/songwriter roots on MTV’s legendary Unplugged series. Fans will see the multi-platinum pop/rock superstar as they’ve never seen her before performing her #1 hit singles I Kissed A Girl and Waking Up In Vegas plus Thinking Of You, Ur So Gay and Lost. Plus two additional tracks – a cover of Fountains Of Wayne’s Hackensack and the never before released track Brick By Brick.

Behind The Scenes: Katy Perry and 3OH!3 ‘Starstrukk’

Katy Perry and 3OH!3 were spotted shooting their new music video for “Starstrukk” at the Los Angeles County Natural History Museum’s Rose Garden in Expositon Park on Monday. Check out the pic of Katy soaking wet below in the water fountain…DAMN!

“Starstrukk” is off the deluxe version of 3OH!3’s debut album, Want. The collaboration came about when 3OH!3 was the opening act on Perry’s tour.

Katy Perry’s ‘Waking Up In Vegas’ has become her third number one Top 40 song from her debut album ‘One of the Boys’.

The only other artists in the history of the Billboard charts to achieve this honor are Ace of Base, Avril Lavigne, and Lady Gaga.
