Following the leaked demo of Britney Spears singing Lady Gaga’s ‘Telephone’, producer Darkchild has seized the opportunity to clear the air surrounding the leaked track and spilled some details on Britney’s upcoming album.

“[Britney's manager] Larry Rudolph came to my house and we had an incredible conversation about Britney’s new album. We talked about the direction of her album, he gave me some insight into the direction and he wants me to work on stuff… So with that said, “Telephone” did what it had to do and we’re very pleased with the results, but now I’m about to put 200% of my focus into writing a new smash for Britney’s new album… An international smash…”

“I think the fans deserve it, I think Britney deserves it and I can’t wait to get back into the studio with Britney. I’m about to go crazy on making something that’s so crazy. Since the conversation with Larry Rudolph I’ve studied some stuff from her last album and the Blackout album, and that was great stuff but I’m gonna bring something a little bit greater. I’m gonna give it my all to deliver something that’s crazy, crazy amazing for Britney.”

“The conversation with Larry went great, I know exactly what the direction is and I’m gonna kill it! I’m gonna create the most incredible, unbelievable track that you could ever think of to hit the planet earth, the galaxy, around the world, all of that [laughs], for Britney Spears!”

Darkchild seems pretty confident that he’s going to create a smash hit for Britney. I don’t want to get my hopes up, but Britney’s the original pop princess and how amazing would it be to see her reign again.

Christina Aguilera’s upcoming album, Bionic, is gaining a lot of hype. Christina’s music is going in a new direction and the singer says she’s inspired by her son, Max.

“I’m so excited — I’ve had an idea for a futuristic feel for many years now. It’s always been in the back of my mind to do a more futuristic sound. I was inspired by artists that I am collaborating with on the album. Folks like Sia, Ladytron and Goldfrapp.”

I felt like it couldn’t have been a better time or place for me personally, also as a new mom. Max has so much of both of us. One day, everyone says he looks just like Jord, and the next, like me. He is walking and talking, and a bundle of joy!”

VIBE Tricky Stewart home

Producer Tricky Stewart recently shared some inside information with Vibe magazine on what it’s been like working with Christina Aguilera on her upcoming album.

When asked about his approach to working with the superstar, Tricky says, “With Christina it’s a little different, because Christina wants music that you haven’t heard before. She did things that she’s never necessarily heard on the radio. She doesn’t want a record that sounds like anything else so you’re trying to create an entirely new sound for an artist. The three tracks that I did, they’re all uptempo tracks so we definitely kind of get the club moving but it’s just a matter of her doing different styles and using her voice in different ways.”

In addition to Tricky Stewart, Aguilera has reportedly been working with Sia, Le Tigre, Flo-Rida, Diplo & Switch, Linda Perry, Claude Kelly, Santigold, M.I.A, and many more.

MGMT To Release ‘Congratulations’ In 2010

MGMT is set to release their 2nd album Congratulations.

The album is slated to drop in early 2010, as Andrew VanWyngarden told the San Francisco Examiner when the band performed at last weekend’s Treasure Island festival. Congratulations is produced by Pete “Sonic Boom” Kember of Spacemen 3/Spectrum, and Jennifer Herrema of Royal Trux contributes vocals.

The band spent the past 9 months recording in a Malibu home studio, which gave them plenty of time to surf as well. Fans can expect Congratulations to ride a bleaker edge than the happy-go-lucky “Oracular Spectacular,” as the duo reflect on their journey.

“The song ‘Congratulations’ itself is pretty dark,” VanWyngarden told the Examiner. “It’s us trying to deal with all the craziness that’s been going on since our last album took off. Sometimes it just doesn’t feel natural.”
