Country sweetheart Taylor Swift leads the pack with the most nominations for the upcoming 37th annual American Music Awards.

Swift has been nominated for 6 awards including Artist Of The Year. Her album Fearless was one of the biggest selling albums of the year, so it’s no surprise that she’s on top with the most nominations.

Swift has some stiff competition for Artist Of The Year as the late Michael Jackson is also nominated in the same category.

Jackson is right behind Swift with 5 nominations, followed by Eminem with 4. Beyoncé, the Black Eyed Peas, Lady Gaga, Kings Of Leon, and T.I. each have 3 nominations.

The nominees are determined by radio airplay and retail sales, while members of the public determine the winners through online voting.

The awards ceremony will take place at the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles on November 22 and will be broadcast on ABC.

The first batch of confirmed performers includes Alicia Keys, the Black Eyed Peas, Jennifer Lopez and “American Idol” runner-up Adam Lambert.

Clifford Harris, aka T.I., could be spending the next year behind bars. He is facing weapons charges related to purchasing machine guns and silencers.

He says, “You shouldn’t take the things that I’ve gone through and the negative parts of my life and admire me for that,” Harris said. “If anything, admire me for how I’ve accepted responsibility for the part I’ve played in placing myself in these situations and what I’ve done to recover from it.”

If he ends up serving time, let’s hope the guys take it easy on him behind bars…maybe his fans should send him some soap-on-a-rope.
