Adam Lambert Album Pre-Order Sales Soar

American Idol Season 8 runner-up Adam Lambert won’t release his debut album until Nov. 24, nonetheless, the LP managed to land to the No. 2 spot on the Amazon.com sales list Monday, ahead of The Beatles, Susan Boyle, and Madonna’s Greatest Hits, The New York Post reports.

Lambert’s pre-order sales figures are even more impressive because his label made no announcement that the disc could be pre-ordered. However it probably helped that Adam Lambert dropped several hints on Twitter last week.

Mariah Carey Reaches The Hot 100 Top 10

After a lot of criticism of her latest single ‘Obsession,’ Mariah Carey’s song has found it’s way up the Billboard Hot 100 chart and landed in the Top 10. ‘Obsession’ currently sits at the no. 7 spot. I guess it just took some time for the song to grow with fans.

Carey’s latest top 10 hit puts her in a tie for 5th place for the most top 10 hits in the history of the Hot 100. She is tied with Elton John and Janet Jackson. Ahead of her are Madonna with 37, The Beatles with 34, and Michael Jackson and Stevie wonder with 28 each.

Danyl Johnson Wows Simon Cowell On X-Factor

Danyl Johnson, a 27-year-old schoolteacher from Reading, England, received a standing ovation from judge Simon Cowell after his audition on the hit British talent show ‘The X-Factor.’

Johnson delivered a powerhouse version of The Beatles’ “With a Little Help From My Friends.”

“I’ve been doing this for how many years?” Cowell told Johnson. “Danyl, that was single-handedly the best first audition I’ve ever heard.”

British press are already declaring Johnson as the competition’s winner although the show is still in the beginning stages. “He can dance, he can sing. He’s handsome. He’s got the likability factor. He’s got the whole package,” said Elisa Roche of London’s Daily Express.
