Britney Spears’ ‘Blackout’ Most Influential Pop Album Of Past 5 Years

According to Rolling Stone:

“Telephone” actually sounds a lot like Britney’s 2007 hit “Piece of Me,” proving yet again how much impact Britney has had on the sonics of current pop. People love to make fun of Britney, and why not, but if “Telephone” proves anything, it’s that Blackout may be the most influential pop album of the past five years.

Britney uses Auto-Tune the way Bob Dylan used his harmonica — for punctuation, for atmosphere, for an alienatingly weird sound effect. It’s a blast of vocal distortion, harsh on the surface, but expressive, capable of sounding wildly funny or abrasively pissed-off or seductive. In “Telephone,” as in “Piece of Me,” the Auto-Tune does for her voice what the harmonica does for Dylan’s in “It Ain’t Me, Babe” — a way of telling the world to keep its hands off you.

Do you agree?

New Details On Britney Spears New Album

Following the leaked demo of Britney Spears singing Lady Gaga’s ‘Telephone’, producer Darkchild has seized the opportunity to clear the air surrounding the leaked track and spilled some details on Britney’s upcoming album.

“[Britney's manager] Larry Rudolph came to my house and we had an incredible conversation about Britney’s new album. We talked about the direction of her album, he gave me some insight into the direction and he wants me to work on stuff… So with that said, “Telephone” did what it had to do and we’re very pleased with the results, but now I’m about to put 200% of my focus into writing a new smash for Britney’s new album… An international smash…”

“I think the fans deserve it, I think Britney deserves it and I can’t wait to get back into the studio with Britney. I’m about to go crazy on making something that’s so crazy. Since the conversation with Larry Rudolph I’ve studied some stuff from her last album and the Blackout album, and that was great stuff but I’m gonna bring something a little bit greater. I’m gonna give it my all to deliver something that’s crazy, crazy amazing for Britney.”

“The conversation with Larry went great, I know exactly what the direction is and I’m gonna kill it! I’m gonna create the most incredible, unbelievable track that you could ever think of to hit the planet earth, the galaxy, around the world, all of that [laughs], for Britney Spears!”

Darkchild seems pretty confident that he’s going to create a smash hit for Britney. I don’t want to get my hopes up, but Britney’s the original pop princess and how amazing would it be to see her reign again.

Before Lady Gaga recorded and released her hit single ‘Telephone’ featuring Beyoncé, Gaga had originally written the track for none other than Britney Spears. Spears and her team passed on the song, but the demo has leaked online for fans to enjoy.

After she became a worldwide phenomenon, Susan Boyle is getting ready to do it again as she begins working on her highly anticipated sophomore album.

Don’t expect her second album to be filled with cover songs like her debut I Dreamed A Dream. Susan’s second album will include jazz influences as well as sounds from her favorite era, the sixties.

“My next album has to have an element of surprise in it again. I’m hoping to make it better and a bit extra special.”

“I love recording. The recording studio is your own space, it’s your bubble, it’s you and the music and the producer and engineer. That’s when the real craft comes in and that’s how people get to hear what you are really like. It is like my sanctuary.”

And don’t be surprised if theres a collaboration with Lady Gaga.

“I think Lady Gaga is a wonderful artist and completely original and I like her costumes. Love it! Yes, I’d love to do a duet with her, complete with a telephone hat too!”

Susan Boyle’s new album will be released November 19th and is already available for pre-orders on Amazon.com.

Fox News Thinks Lady Gaga Has Gone Too Far In ‘Telephone’ Video

And here’s the conservative reaction we were anticipating…

Sandy Rios, President of The Culture Campaign, says ‘Beyoncé, Gaga, gay lesbian lovers, I mean, it’s disgusting.” And I bet she’s against gay marriage, too. Rios also described the video as “poison for the minds of our kids.”

I don’t think Gaga’s the one we should be concerned with here. The conservatives are taking this one way too far. It’s a music video, a short film. It’s not real. And what world are you living in Sandy Rios? The only reason childhood innocence exists is because we, as a society, shelter kids from the realities of the world that they will inevitably discover on their own. Society creates this fantasy world that all is well and everyone’s happy, but it’s not real. Wake up. Gaga is a pop culture musician/artist who is simply expressing herself. Children should be allowed to express themselves instead of being condemned for who they are or what they feel. Sandy Rios would probably die if her child was gay.

Video: Lady Gaga ‘Telephone’ Ft. Beyoncé

It’s finally here!

Lady Gaga’s new music video for ‘Telephone’ Ft. Beyoncé premiered last night on E! News and it was well worth all of the hype.

The nine and a half minute video was everything we’ve come to expect from Gaga and more. How amazing was it to see Gaga and Beyoncé dancing side-by-side?

And how could you miss all of the product placements?! Heartbeats by Gaga headphones, Virgin Mobile cell phone, Diet Coke can hair curlers, Polaroid camera, Wonderbread, Miracle Whip, Honey Bun pastry, PlentyofFish.com dating website, The Pussywagon signature truck from Quentin Tarantino’s Kill Bill movies…did you catch any others?

And that jail scene! Can’t wait for the conservatives reaction to that one!

Check out the video for yourself –
