New details have been released on the soundtrack to the highly anticipated film, Sex and the City 2, and the lineup of talent has never been better.

According to Eonline’s Marc Malkin Alicia Keys performs a cover of Blondie’s 1980s classic “Rapture” as a mash-up with the Sex and the City theme song that’s played during the movie’s opening theme. Marc said, “‘Rapture’ and the SATC theme go together like a frosty cosmo and a pair of Manolo Blahniks. It just feels and sounds so right.”

Jennifer Hudson will not be reprising her role as Carrie’s assistant, but she will be on the soundtrack this time around. Hudson and Leona Lewis duet on an original ballad written for the movie called “Love Is Your Color.”

Even the movie’s cast will appear on the soundtrack Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Kristen Davis and Cynthia Nixon performing Helen Reddy’s “I Am Woman.”

Liza Minnelli covers Beyoncé’s “Single Ladies” as well as a new rendition of Cole Porter’s “Ev’ry Time We Say Goodbye.”

Dido and Cee Lo will also have new music on the Sex and the City soundtrack.

The soundtrack will be released on May 25, just two days before SATC hits theaters.

I cannot wait to hear Christina Aguilera’s upcoming album! But we’re all going to have to wait until 2010.

Tricky Stewart, who has produced such hits as Rihanna’s Umbrella and Beyonce’s Single Ladies, is working with Christina Aguilera on her upcoming album and had the following to say about it:

“It’s just great. I wouldn’t say that it’s alternative, I wouldn’t say that it’s different. Christina’s always been an artist that moves the bar and that’s what the great ones do. They don’t stay in the same place for too long and this album is just another move for her. I really feel it’s one of her best bodies of work that I’ve heard since Stripped.”

Aguilera has also been working with M.I.A., Santigold, Sia, Le Tigre, Ladytron and Flo Rida.

The reason for the 2010 album release is because she’s currently working on the movie Burlesque with Cher.

Tricky says, “She’s gonna do the film first. She didn’t want to not be able to promote this record because it’s going to be a big record for her. The album is finished. She’s mixing. She hasn’t made a final decision about what the first single is, but I know everyone feels good about their options.”

It sounds like it’s going to be an amazing album!!!

Happy Birthday to superstar Beyonce Knowles. She is 28 today.

Really though, how is she only 28? There are reports that she is actually in her 30′s, which I kind of believe. People also claim that Rihanna is actually close to being 30, not in early 20′s. Nonetheless as you can see below, Beyonce’s body is bangin!

Beyonce is nominated for nine MTV Video Music Awards including “Video of the Year and Best Female Video” for her sexy Single Ladies video.

The MTV VMA’s air Sept. 13 at 9 p.m. EST.
