I am sure you are just as tired as I am about hearing about the American Idol judges, but we have found some closure now. A source close to Steven Tyler says the Aerosmith frontman told the source he will be a judge on Fox’s “American Idol” next season.
While an official announcement about Tyler has yet to come from Fox and the producers of the top-rated show, the source told The Associated Press on Wednesday, “there is no reason to refute” Tyler’s account. The source spoke only on the condition of anonymity because the source was not authorized to comment publicly on the matter.
Fox and producers FreemantleMedia North America and 19 Entertainment had no comment on the report.
The “Idol” judging panel has been in flux with the departure of mainstay Simon Cowell, as well as Ellen DeGeneres’ recent announcement that she would not return for a second season.
Just pick the judges already!!

With the departure of judge Simon Cowell and the recent drop in ratings this past season, American Idol is making some changes to boost America’s interest in the reality singing competition.
American Idol producers announced that they are lowering the age limit to 15 for this upcoming season’s auditions.
“A lot of young, talented people are now seeking careers and representation before they turn 16,” said “Idol” executive producer Cecile Frot-Coutaz. “Lowering the age limit allows us to tap into this talent pool.”
Looks like Idol producers are hoping to create a teen sensation like Justin Bieber or Miley Cyrus.

Christina Aguilera Live On American Idol
Christina Aguilera was a surprise guest on last night’s American Idol Finale. Rather than perform her single ‘Not Myself Tonight’ or her upcoming second single ‘Woohoo’, Aguilera chose to perform a moving ballad off her upcoming album Bionic called ‘You Lost Me’. Aguilera slowed things down and reminded us of just how powerful her voice is. You just have to ignore the intro by the top 10 female Idol contestants…

Will Paula Abdul Return To American Idol For The Season Finale?

Every year the producers of American Idol do their best to make sure the public doesn’t know who will appear during the finale. There have been quite a few rumors circulating right now as to which stars will appear during the live telecast, on Tuesday and Wednesday night on FOX.
The word on the street is Paula Abdul will make an appearance during the finale as part of a farewell to Simon Cowell, who will no longer be a judge on the hit show. If Paula shows up, this will be the first time she has appeared on Idol since she was replaced by Ellen.
Simon Cowell is ready to move on from Idol. He will be kicking off the US version of X-Factor next year. The 50 year old judge is very thrilled about his new foray and he will still remain as “brutally honest” as he has been all these in American Idol.
Will you guys watch the finale to see who wins? Will it be Crystal Bowersox or Lee DeWyze? Or are you going to be tuning in to see Simon’s last appearance?

And then there were three…
Last night, Michael Lynche, aka Big Mike, was sent home on American Idol. For most of you, I know you were glad to see him go. I still don’t understand why the judges saved him.
Now, it’s down to Casey, Lee, and Crystal.
Will it be a a Lee and Crystal showdown? Who do you think will make the final 2?

According to reports from the U.K., “Britain’s Got Talent” singing sensation Susan Boyle will be getting a $6 million dollar check for her 49th birthday next month.
Boyle’s debut album I Dreamed A Dream was the biggest selling CD of 2009 in the United Kingdom and has sold more than 8.5 million copies world wide.
Her birthday is April 1st, and after she receives her check she will no longer have to live off of her allowance she gets from Simon Cowell. A source tells Britain’s Daily Mail newspaper, “People have thought of Susan as a millionaire for months already because her album was launched in November, but she hasn’t got it yet. Up until now, her management team have made sure she never wanted for anything, but this is her long-awaited payday.”
I bet she’s going to be a very happy girl on her birthday! You would hope!
Idol Recap: Top 8 Women Start To Deliver
March 9, 2010 by imusicdaily
Tonight, the top 8 women took the stage on American Idol and finally started to deliver a few memorable performances.
Katie Stevens – ‘Breakaway’ – Kelly Clarkson – What’s up with those pants? She seemed nervous tonight and her voice wasn’t as solid as it has been. I definitely didn’t feel any sort of connection between her and the song, but I understand why she chose it. The judges weren’t too hard on her and Simon even gave her a 10 out of 10 for effort. I just want her to let loose and have fun. She’s losing herself in this competition.
Siobhan Magnus – ‘House Of The Rising Son’ – The Animals – I say it every week, but she’s so weird! And Simon agrees, so I must be right. Ha. Her vocals were great, she made the song her own by starting off a cappella and slowing it down.
Lacey Brown – ‘The Story’ – Belinda Carlile – This was her best performance so far. She finally reminded us how she got to this point, because, up until now, she’s failed to deliver. I just don’t think her voice belongs in this competition.
Katelyn Epperly – ‘I Feel The Earth Move’ – Carole King – So maybe no one liked the song and she wasn’t as impressive as last week, but there’s something about this chick. I’m a sucker for anyone who plays the piano. Maybe that’s why I like her so much.
Didi Benami – ‘Rhiannon’ – Fleetwood Mac – She nailed it! And she needed to this week. She’s had a rough couple of weeks so far and tonight she stood out. Randy needs to clean his ears out. Didi needs to stick with the guitar. With it, she’s incredible.
Paige Miles – ‘Smile’ – Charlie Chaplin – Horrible. The judges have always said she has such an amazing voice and so much potential, but I’ve never seen it. She sucked tonight. And if it was such a hard and emotional song for her to sing, then why on earth did she choose it! I really hope she goes home this week.
Crystal Bowersox – ‘Give Me One Reason’ – Tracy Chapman – She truly is in the zone when she performs. I didn’t feel like I was watching Idol anymore. Crystal has a way of drawing you into her performance, which makes her stand out easily from the rest of the contestants. She makes this season interesting.
Lilly Scott – ‘I Fall To Pieces’ – Patsy Cline – Her voice seemed somewhat shaky tonight and I didn’t like her song choice. She added her own funky style to it and I’m sure she’ll make it through to the top 12, but I just didn’t think it was anything special.
And there you have it. Thank God Idol was only an hour tonight. I was beginning to feel tortured during the 2 hour shows.
Didi and Crystal were my favorites.
Who do you think is going home? Paige? Lacey? Katie?
