Beyoncé’s smash hit ‘Halo’ was originally written by Ryan Tedder of One Republic. Tedder also wrote Kelly Clarkson’s ‘Already Gone’ which has stirred up some controversy for sounding similar to ‘Halo’. Clarkson has since started performing a new version of the song to put the controversy to rest.
The original demo of ‘Halo’ recorded by Ryan Tedder has leaked online today and we’ve got it for you to check out. Beyoncé definitely brought a lot to this song.

One Republic is back with their new single ‘All The Right Moves’. The song reminds me a lot of ‘Apologize’. It sounds like they’re trying to copy the success of their former hit with this new single, but I don’t think it will have the same effect on fans.

Leona Lewis ‘Echo’ Tracklist Revealed

Leona Lewis sophomore set, “Echo,” hits stores this November 17th. “I titled my album ‘ECHO’, since an echo describes a big, organic sound. I’m in the midst of the recording process, working with incredible songwriters and producers, and my music has really evolved. It’s so exciting to create something new,” Leona said. The debut single, “Happy” was written by Ryan Tedder of the group One Republic. Tedder also produced her monster hit, “Bleeding Love”. “It’s a contradiction of song because, yes, it’s named ‘Happy,’ but the song’s kind of dark, a bit sad, somber,” she said.
The album includes production and songwriting from Justin Timberlake, Claude Kelly, Ryan Tedder, Max Martin, and Ne-Yo. “In my songs I want people to go on a journey, and (to get to) happiness, you go through a lot of pain and sadness to get there sometimes and that’s what we wanted to convey on the song,” she added.
Track Listing:
1. Happy
2. I Got You
3. Can’t Breathe
4. Brave
5. Outta My Head
6. My Hands
7. Love Letter
8. Broken
9. Naked
10. Stop Crying Your Heart Out
11. Don’t Let Me Down
12. Alive
13. Lost Then Found (featuring One Republic)
Leona Lewis Is Ready For Round 2, With “Happy”

Leona Lewis had a huge hit with her debut song ”Bleeding Love,” a soaring ballad that flew the 24-year-old to the top of the charts worldwide.
But the British pop singer says her sophomore CD ”Echo” goes a step further, and is ”full of big, emotional, dramatic songs.”
”It’s just really like big songs. The main thing is about the song and the melody,” she said of the album, to be released Nov. 17.
”I don’t have any songs on there that are just like, ‘Yeah, yeah, yeah,”’ she said in a whispery tone while bopping her head.
The first single, the gloomy-yet thumping ”Happy,” is one Lewis co-wrote with Ryan Tedder, the producer behind ”Bleeding Love.”
”It’s a contradiction of song because, yes, it’s named ‘Happy,’ but the song’s kind of dark, a bit sad, somber,” she said.
”In my songs I want people to go on a journey, and (to get to) happiness, you go through a lot of pain and sadness to get there sometimes and that’s what we wanted to convey on the song,”
”I’m just embarking on going back on the road and traveling and doing it again.”
I think “Happy” is a great song, it’s a great lead single for her. If you haven’t heard the song, or if you just want to listen to it again, click play below.

New Leona Lewis Track Leaked – ‘Happy’

Seems like “leaking” your upcoming single is the new way to launch your new music when it comes to highly anticipated follow up albums.
Leona Lewis’ new single ‘Happy’ was just leaked online and the buzz is building among bloggers and fans. It’s a great song, but it doesn’t have the same power as ‘Bleeding Love.’ But with a voice like Leona’s, does that even matter?
‘Happy’ was written with Ryan Tedder who helped Leona’s rise to fame here in the states with ‘Bleeding Love.’
The song will be huge. No doubts about it.

CLAUDE KELLY HITS BIG WITH CLARKSON, SPEARS
January 29, 2009 by Rob Steiner

(Billboard.com – Mariel Concepcion, N.Y.)
Last summer, singer/songwriter Claude Kelly told Billboard he hoped to work with Kelly Clarkson in the future. Six months later, not only has he co-written the pop singer’s latest single, “My Life Would Suck Without You,” but he’s sharing in its record-breaking success.
As previously reported, the song jumps 97-1 this week on the Billboard Hot 100, setting a record for the largest leap to the top in the history of the chart.
“This is a huge deal for me. I’m beyond words,” the 28-year-old New York native tells Billboard. “I feel very accomplished and relieved to know that hard work definitely pays off.”
The lead single from Clarkson’s March 17 RCA album “All I Ever Wanted,” “My Life Would Suck Without You” was co-written with writer/producer Max Martin (Britney Spears) and songwriter Dr. Luke (Katy Perry). “Max had an idea of some of the concepts. They came up with the music, Max threw some ideas at me, and then they threw me in the mix,” Kelly says of the songwriting process.
The song is Kelly’s second top 10 Hot 100 this week. He also co-wrote Britney Spears’ “Circus,” which is No. 10 after peaking at No. 3 last month.
Coming up, look for Kelly’s work on new albums from R. Kelly (“Expect a creative, soulful, classic R. Kelly record,” he says), Toni Braxton, Leona Lewis, OneRepublic’s Ryan Tedder, Chrisette Michele and Corbin Bleu. Some songs he worked on with Jennifer Hudson are also likely to appear on a re-release of her self-titled J debut.
