Exclusive Interview with The Morning Of

These days, it’s rare when a band comes along and gets us so excited that we can’t be tamed like Miley Cyrus on a stripper pole. We recently got a chance to check out indie pop/rock band The Morning Of while we were down in San Diego. The band was on tour in support of The Dangerous Summer, but they were also promoting their own album The Way I Fell In.

It didn’t take long for us fall in love with their sound on the new album. Upbeat, energetic, and musical are the first words that come to mind when describing The Morning Of. The first comparison that came to mind was The Rocket Summer. One unique aspect of the band are the two lead singers, Justin and Jessica. Not only do that have strong voices, but they’ve got great chemistry as well.

With so many young pop stars in today’s music scene, it’s rare that you find a young guy who’s ready rock by the time he’s 13. Look no further than Nick Rodrigues!

From Calgary, Alberta, Canada, Nick’s been performing since he was 5, picked up the guitar at 9, and now, at 13, Nick’s been in LA writing and recording for his debut album. With influences ranging from Queen to Justin Timberlake, we expect big things from this newcomer.

Santana Lines Up All-Star Cast For New Album

He’s done it before and he’s about to do it again!

Santana has announced that he is planning to release a new album in September, but, unlike his previous pop album, the new album will have Santana and friends covering classic rock songs.

Some of the artists set to be covered on the new LP include: Def Leppard (“Photograph”), Led Zeppelin (“Whole Lotta Love”), Deep Purple (“Smoke on the Water”), AC/DC (“Back In Black”), Jimi Hendrix (“Little Wing”), as well as the Beatles and the Rolling Stones.

Santana will be collaborating with artists such as Nas, Chris Daughtry, India Arie, Papa Roach, Chris Cornell, his “Smooth” partner Rob Thomas and many more.

Aerosmith Announces ‘Cocked, Locked, Ready To Rock’ US Summer Tour

Following seven triumphant South American ‘Cocked, Locked, Ready To Rock Tour’ dates (the final one playing this evening in Costa Rica, the largest concert in that country’s history) and eleven upcoming European dates, America’s Number One rock and roll band will be more than warmed up and ready to arrive in the US in what will surely be THE concert event of the summer. New Details On Upcoming Kings Of Leon Album

Kings Of Leon recently told Spin what fans can expect on their upcoming album.

“[It was the] first time we ever recorded in New York City and we thought we’d come out with a darker record because we’d done all our records in either Nashville or Los Angeles where it’s a little more chilled out,” Followill says. “[But] I’ll be damned if we didn’t go in there and make a fun record! It’s got songs that are beach-y and songs that are a little more like our Youth & Young Manhood days. We’re super excited. It will be interesting to see how well received it is,” he added.

Bono Released From Hospital Following Emergency Back Surgery

Live Nation has confirmed that the U2 360 degrees North American Tour will be postponed until 2011.

U2′s Bono has now been discharged from Ludwig Maximilians-University (LMU) Hospital in Munich where he underwent emergency surgery on Friday, following a back injury. In order to fully recover, he is under doctor’s orders to start a rehabilitation program and to recuperate for at least eight weeks.

This will necessitate the postponement of 16 shows on the U2 360 degrees Tour from Salt Lake City on June 3rd, through to New Jersey’s Meadowlands Stadium on July 19th. Read more

U2 Postpones 360 Tour Launch After Bono Has Unexpected Surgery

Following Bono’s unexpected back surgery earlier today, Live Nation confirmed that the U2 360 tour launch previously scheduled for June 3rd in Salt Lake City has been postponed.

U2 fans with tickets to the June 3rd event are encouraged to retain tickets until updated show information can be provided.
