It only takes a couple of seconds to fall in love with a voice as rich and soulful as Jared Lee’s. For fans of The Script and OneRepublic, Jared Lee is an artist to watch closely.
Recently signed to a worldwide publishing deal with Chrysalis Music, Jared Lee just wrapped production on his debut album with producer Mike K (Nelly Furtado, Natasha Bedingfield). Armed with a stack of r&b infused pop-rock songs, Jared’s music is full of radio-ready anthemic choruses, soaring guitars, powerful drums, and highlighted with soulful vocals that cut right to the core. As the buzz continues to build on this rising star, expect to hear a lot more about this newcomer in the upcoming months.
Jared Lee is currently being featured by Clear Channel as the “Artist To Watch – Pop” on over 71 US Top40 radio websites.
Check out this footage taken at his Jan 9th, 2011 show at the famous Roxy Theatre in Los Angeles.

New Details On Rihanna’s Upcoming Album

After her brief journey to the dark side, Rihanna’s returning to the lighter side of pop with a new album that’s set to be released later this year. Producer Sean Garrett is dishing the details exclusively to Rap-Up.com.
“It’s a fucking smash. I gave her a humongous radio record. It’s just so infectious. It’s about getting past any drama and just being happy to be alive. It’s an encouraging record. It feels great and it’s got great tempo…Whenever I think of Rihanna, it makes me happy. To be honest, I wasn’t really that excited about hearing her in a dark zone. I love Rihanna for being that girl… She’s like the lil’ fantasy chick—nice brown skin, beautiful woman with a Caribbean swagger that’s ridiculous.”
In addition to Sean Garrett, Rihanna is reportedly working with Ne-Yo and David Guetta. It’s looking like her new album will be more radio-friendly than Rated R.

We couldn’t agree more. We’re excited for the return of the real Rihanna.

Tricky Stewart Dishes On Christina Aguilera’s New Album

Producer Tricky Stewart recently shared some inside information with Vibe magazine on what it’s been like working with Christina Aguilera on her upcoming album.
When asked about his approach to working with the superstar, Tricky says, “With Christina it’s a little different, because Christina wants music that you haven’t heard before. She did things that she’s never necessarily heard on the radio. She doesn’t want a record that sounds like anything else so you’re trying to create an entirely new sound for an artist. The three tracks that I did, they’re all uptempo tracks so we definitely kind of get the club moving but it’s just a matter of her doing different styles and using her voice in different ways.”
In addition to Tricky Stewart, Aguilera has reportedly been working with Sia, Le Tigre, Flo-Rida, Diplo & Switch, Linda Perry, Claude Kelly, Santigold, M.I.A, and many more.

Miley Cyrus: “Twitter Should Be Banned From The Universe”

Miley Cyrus thinks Twitter should be banned from the universe.
The Hannah Montana star recently left the popular microblogging site and later wrote a rap explaining her reasons for doing so. However, Miley believes the service is “unhealthy” because it prevents people from experiencing life.
“I think that everyone should leave Twitter,” the Tween Queen said during an interview with Chicago radio station B96. “I think Twitter should just be banned from this universe.”
“All I did was lay in bed on my computer and sit there and eat ice cream late at night,” she explained. “You don’t end up living your life and you end up saying things that really is no-one else’s business. And I’m not a big fan of the internet anymore. I don’t really go online.”
A crazed fan recently threatened to kill her pet cat unless Miley returns to Twitter by Nov. 6.
Back In The Studio: Kelly Clarkson Working On Fifth Studio Album

During a new interview on Chicago’s KISSFM, pop/rock diva Kelly Clarkson revealed that she’s already begun working on her fifth studio album, which will be due out Fall 2010.
“We’re already working on it. [The songs] are really different. The next record is going to be really different”.
She also revealed that she may not write the whole record either, which she blames on constant touring and releasing albums so close together (Clarkson’s current tour does not wrap up until March 2010).
“If I end up liking stuff that I’ve done then I’ll include it, but if I like other stuff better I’ll use that. Sometimes you’re just more inspired I guess, and sometimes if you have records that come out really close together it might be more other peoples songs. Because there’s not enough time to write and sing and perform and do everything.”
Despite penning all the songs from her 2007 album My December, Kelly only wrote on six of the fourteen tracks from her latest effort All I Ever Wanted.
In other news, Kelly’s latest single ‘Already Gone’ continues to rise on the Billboard charts after reaching a new peak of #17 this week. Rumor has it that ‘Don’t Let Me Stop You’ will serve as the fourth single from All I Ever Wanted, which is now close to being certified Platinum.
