Swift Discusses New “Different” Album and Working with Minaj

After another big year from Taylor Swift, the country pop crooner discusses her new upcoming album, saying that her new songs are not about “moving on” and this fourth release will be a much different feel than her other three albums.
When asked what experiences stirred such an emotional album, Swift said, “I can’t tell you, because it’s a secret. It will be unveiled when it all comes out, because they all seem to have a theme to them, the records that we’ve put out so far, and this one is no different. It’s very different in what it’s about, but it’s no different in the fact that it has its own name.”
In speaking of Nicki Minaj, who she had a chance to perform with, Swift said, “I love her. One of my favorite moments of the tour was when she came out at the Staples Center and sang ‘Super Bass’ with me, which was, like, the coolest thing. It was like a dream come true, so it’s amazing to get to run into her and see her around, and I’m just such a fan.” When asked if Swift would ever collaborate with Minaj, she answered, “I mean, we’re not working on anything right now. But I would love to at some point. That would be amazing.”

P!nk has released the video for her current single “F**kin’ Perfect.” I really like this song and believe in the message, but what’s with everyone using the “F” word in their songs now? I’m not a fan of it. But I digress…

Pink Tops The U.S. Singles Chart

Pink scored her third No. 1 hit on Billboard’s Hot 100 singles chart Thursday after “Raise Your Glass” rose one place to the top.
The pop singer last led the Hot 100 in September 2008, when “So What” enjoyed a weeklong reign. She first topped the chart in 2001 with the collaborative “Lady Marmalade,” which included star turns by Christina Aguilera, Lil’ Kim and Mya.
“Raise Your Glass” is one of two new selections on Pink’s “Greatest Hits … So Far!!!” album, which contains eight of her 10 top 10 hits in a decade long career. The only absentee top 10 tracks on the set are the aforementioned “Marmalade” and “Most Girls” (No. 4, 2000).
“Raise Your Glass” is the fifth title to occupy the No. 1 slot in five weeks, a turnover rate not seen in more than 20 years. Eight titles led over eight weeks in September to November 1990.
Last week’s No. 1, Rihanna’s “Only Girl (In the World),” fell to No. 3. As for the other recent champs, Far*East Movement’s “Like a G6″ fell four to No. 7, Rihanna’s “What’s My Name?” rebounded three to No. 5, and Kesha’s “We R Who We R” slipped two to No. 6.
Katy Perry’s “Firework” jumped four to No. 2, and Bruno Mars’ former chart-topper “Just the Way You Are” rebounded three to No. 4. Mars also jumped seven to No. 10 with “Grenade.” Nelly’s “Just a Dream” fell three to No. 8, and the Black Eyed Peas’ “The Time (Dirty Bit)” jumped four to No. 9.

I’m in love with this song. P!nk is amazing! It’s been said that she’s looking for a real gay male couple to marry in the upcoming video for “Raise Your Glass”. How awesome of her to lend her support to marriage equality.
