Paula Abdul filmed a video with a clever concept in this newly released ad promoting next week’s big show.
VH1 will air VH1 Divas – starring Kelly Clarkson, Jennifer Hudson, Jordin Sparks and Leona Lewis — live from the Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM) Howard Gilman Opera House in Brooklyn, New York, on Thursday, Sept. 17 @ 9PM.
But seriously….Paula might end up using an employment agency to get work! 
Jennifer Hudson Added To Vh1 Diva’s Line-up
The network has announced former Idol third-season finalist Jennifer Hudson has joined original Idol champ Kelly Clarkson and sixth-season winner Jordin Sparks as performers at VH1 Divas, which will be hosted by former Idol judge Paula Abdul.
“We are excited that Jennifer Hudson will share her award-winning talent with our VH1 Divas audience,” said VH1 president Tom Calderone.
“Adding Jennifer to our roster of young yet hugely successful performers guarantees that the show will truly be a night to remember. We can’t wait for our viewers to enjoy the performances that will reflect the talent, hard work and tenacity that has come to define this new generation of divas.”
In addition to the other idol stars, VH1 Divas will also include performances by Adele, Leona Lewis, Miley Cyrus, Sheryl Crow, Melissa Etheridge, Cyndi Lauper and Martina McBride.

Simon is missing his little friend Paula.
He tells Extra’s Terri Seymour, “I miss her, of course,” adding that he’s remained uncharacteristically mum on her sudden exit because “doesn’t want to get in the middle” of her fight with American Idol producers.
The millionaire also admits that the chemistry between the remaining judges and the “guest judges” is way different.
“It’s like comparing a carrot to a banana,” he dished.

Who knows if American Idol is going to suck without Paula Abdul next season, but her empty chair will be getting quite the workout regardless.
The original Idol, season-one winner Kelly Clarkson, and teen dream Joe Jonas are the latest hitmakers who will be pulling guest-judge duty on the Fox series upcoming ninth season, the L.A. Times Showtracker blog reported Tuesday.
Other celeb superstars joining Simon, Randy and Kara for Season 9 include Shania Twain, Jennifer Lopez, Victoria Beckham and Mary J Blige.
I think it’s going to be cool with all the guest judges, hopefully the celebs will add something to the show.

Jordin Sparks tells E News “It was dumb on American Idol’s part,” E News interviewed her in the 102.7 KIIS-FM’s Teen Choice Awards gifting lounge at the W Hotel in Westwood CA today. “I love American Idol and I respect them. It’s because of them that I got my start, but Paula was one of the original judges. She helped soften the blow for contestants when we didn’t do well. I love Paula. The show will definitely not be the same without her, and I feel bad that future contestants will not get to experience having her on the show,” she continued. “I’m so sad.”

Idol fans across the nation are in a state of shock tonight with the breaking news that Paula Abdul will not be returning to American Idol next season. Abdul was unable to reach an agreement with the shows producers.
Abdul took to her official twitter account to announce the news:
“With sadness in my heart, I’ve decided not to return to #IDOL. I’ll miss nurturing all the new talent, but most of all I’ll being a part of a show that I helped from day1become an international phenomenon.

It’s official, Kara DioGuardi will be back on the upcoming season of American Idol. According to to one source, “”Her deal is done. There are no ifs, ands or buts. Done. She will be back.”
No word yet on the return of Paula Abdul. Time is running out as the filmed auditions for this season begin within the next few days.
AMERICAN IDOL FINAL 11

It’s down to the Final 11. Last night, Jorge and Jasmine were sent home. And, in a new twist, the judges have the chance to save one person from elimination this year. No one was spared last night.
This week, the contestants will be mentored by country legend, Randy Travis and the theme will be songs from the Grand Ole Opry.
Travis is set to perform ‘I Told You So’ with Carrie Underwood. Brad Paisley will also perform his new song ‘Then” from his upcoming album.
Michael should have an easy week…can’t wait to see what Anoop does!
