Ke$ha has a lot to celebrate. Not only did her album Animal knock Susan Boyle’s I Dreamed A Dream out of the top spot, but she also has the No. 1 single on the Hot 100 chart with ‘Tik Tok’. Ke$ha is the first artist to top both charts since Leona Lewis in 2008.
But it doesn’t stop there!
Ke$ha’s second single ‘Blah Blah Blah’ skyrocketed to the No. 7 spot on the Hot 100 chart and debuted at the No. 2 spot on the Digital Songs Chart. ‘Tik Tok’ is No. 1 on the Digital Songs Chart. Ke$ha is the first artist to hold down both spots since the Black Eyed Peas did it with ‘Boom Boom Pow’ and ‘I Gotta Feeling’.
Congratulations.

Susan Boyle is truly the unlikeliest sensation in the history of music, but she has taken the world by storm since she emerged as a YouTube star following her appearance on Britain’s Got Talent.
Boyle is No. 1 once again on the Billboard charts and is expected to sell another 560,000 copies this week according to HitsDoubleDaily, which has her sales total surpassing 3 million copies in the U.S. alone! That’s not so great news for Mary J. Blige who has to settle for the No. 2 spot, selling 340,000 copies.

Next week’s Billboard 200 albums chart is going to be flush with new releases, including a race for No. 1 between Mariah Carey’s new “Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel” and Paramore’s third album “Brand New Eyes.” Based on early prognostications from industry sources, each album could sell between 160,000 to 170,000 in their first week.
We vote for Paramore!
