Christina Aguilera To Perform On American Idol, Releasing New Video May 1st
Christina Aguilera will perform on the American Idol season nine finale on Wednesday, May 26. Aguilera confirmed the news with Atlanta’s Star 94 FM radio station.
Christina has lined up quite a big television promo tour for the release of her upcoming album, Bionic. Aguilera will be appearing on Oprah (May 7), the Today Show (June 8), and VH1 Storytellers and Behind The Music (June 13).
Christina Aguilera has made her return to the Hot 100 this week, with her new single “Not Myself Tonight” debuting at #23 on the chart (and #15 on the Hot Digital songs).
Fans in the UK can expect to see the Christina Aguilera’s new video for ‘Not Myself Tonight’ very soon. According to iTV.com, Christina’s “Not Myself Tonight” video will premiere on May 1 on 4Music at 10 AM and Channel 4 at 11:45 AM. We’re sure the video will appear online shortly afterwards.
Christina Aguilera To Release ‘Bionic’ June 8th
With 30 million albums sold worldwide and the prestigious honor of being the only artist under the age of 30 included in Rolling Stone Magazine’s list of the 100 greatest singers of all time, 5 time Grammy Award winner Christina Aguilera has already achieved an unprecedented level of success. Aguilera’s been hard at work in the studio for the past year and is pleased to announce the release of her highly anticipated 4th studio album Bionic (RCA Records) on June 8th. The first single from Bionic is the fiercely energetic anthem “Not Myself Tonight”, produced by Polow Da Don. The song premiered on ChristinaAguilera.com and available on iTunes on now.
Bionic features songs co-written by Aguilera along with her much buzzed about collaborations including Sia, Tricky Stewart, Polow Da Don, Le Tigre, Hill & Switch, and Ladytron among others. Aguilera notes, “Working on this album with so many talented artists and producers that I admire was really an amazing experience. The artists I chose to work with added so many unique sonic layers to Bionic. My intention was to step into their world and what they do combined with my own vision and sound. The results were magic.” The album also features a ballad produced and written by Linda Perry titled “Lift Me Up”. Christina Aguilera has been revealing ‘Big News‘ every day this past week leading up to the release of her debut single off her new album, Bionic. First, she revealed a saucy new cover for the single ‘Not Myself Tonight’. Then she posted the song’s lyrics on her official website. She followed that up by revealing the cover of her album and now she’s released a snippet of ‘Not Myself Tonight’.

On her new sound, Christina says,
“I’m so excited — I’ve had an idea for a futuristic feel for many years now. It’s always been in the back of my mind to do a more futuristic sound. I was inspired by artists that I am collaborating with on the album. Folks like Sia, Ladytron and Goldfrapp.”

Christina Aguilera’s upcoming album, Bionic, is gaining a lot of hype. Christina’s music is going in a new direction and the singer says she’s inspired by her son, Max.

In addition to completing the album which was all recorded from her home studio after the birth of her first son, Christina also completed production on her first film, “Burlesque.” The film, which co-stars Cher, Stanley Tucci, and Kristen Bell will be released by ScreenGems this fall.
