New Artist Spotlight: Lauren Cupp

It seems there’s no shortage of young, up and coming pop singers these days. Thanks to Disney and Nickelodeon, the music scene has a place for young talent like Miley Cyrus, Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato, and Jennette McCurdy.

Allow us to introduce newcomer Lauren Cupp. Fresh out of the box with her debut single ‘Everywhere I go’, Lauren’s clean and clear pop sound is immediately likable, just like her.

The Kids’ Choice Awards 2010 Winners List

On Saturday night, the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards 2010 was aired live. It was a fun filled event with lots of slime! I don’t know that many people that actually watched it live so I will list the winners below.

A few funny moments that took place included Apolo Ohno speed skating into a large pool of slime which squirted all over the fans. I have to tell you after searching for this clip online I think it might have been a stunt man that flew into the slime pool.

It was also pretty hilarious when Katy Perry was presenting Miley Cyrus with Favorite Movie Actress, but she got slimed right as she was opening the box with the winner’s name!

Justin Bieber and Rihanna To Perform At Kids’ Choice Awards

Nickelodeon has picked the hottest young star in music to headline the upcoming Kids’ Choice Awards. Justin Bieber is set to headline the upcoming awards show guaranteeing ratings gold for Nickelodeon.

Headlining along with Bieber will be Rihanna, who comes as a bit of a surprise. Her image isn’t very kid friendly since the release of her album Rated R.

The Kids’ Choice Awards will take place on March 27th, just a few days after the release of Bieber’s upcoming album My World, 2.0.

Bieber Fever has swept the nation and fans can get up close and personal with Bieber by entering to win an all access pass for four to see the show, walk the orange carpet, see Bieber soundcheck and meet him before the show.

Katy Perry Wears Muppet Dress!

Katy Perry wears her Pop Art and Muppets dress designed by Jean-Charles de Castelbajac. Jean-Charles is the designer who made Madonna’s famous teddy bear jacket.

And while Katy Perry went goth at the Vivienne Westwood show and accompanied Rihanna to the Jean-Paul Gaultier show this past weekend, Katy Perry sat next to Sliimy at Jean-Charles de Castelbajac’s show.

Move Over Disney Tween Scene

Nickelodeon’s iCarly actress/singer Jennette McCurdy is going to give Miley Cyrus and Demi Lovato a run for the money with her incredible voice. The young star has become a hit on youtube and just posted an a cappella cover of Rascal Flatt’s ‘What Hurts The Most.”
