Orianthi, a 24 year old Australian guitar prodigy, has already shared the stage with some of the biggest names in the music business and now it’s her turn to step into the spotlight with the upcoming release of her debut album Believe.
She has performed with Santana, Carrie Underwood, and Steve Vai, but nothing compares to being handpicked by the King of Pop himself, Michael Jackson, to play lead guitar for what would have been his This Is It tour.
Her debut single ‘According To You’ is a feisty, upbeat pop-rock anthem that will have you singing along as soon as you hit the chorus. It’s catchy as hell! I’m sure there are a few female pop stars who wish this could have been their single.

Over 300 Top Music and Digital Industry Leaders to Gather in Hollywood for the Prestigious Annual Event, Oct. 7-8
LOS ANGELES, Oct. 2 /PRNewswire/ —
Digital Media Wire today announced additional speakers and an up-to-date agenda for the most recent edition of the Digital Music Forum West (www.digitalmusicforum.com/west), to be held at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel in Los Angeles on October 7-8th, 2009.
Much like the wildly popular TV show, American Idol, this year’s Digital Music Forum West will feature the latest contenders in the ongoing digital music battle to win the hearts and checkbooks of the multi-billion dollar music industry.
While piracy maintains a 95% market share for digital music, it now faces increased competition from free music streaming from the likes of Imeem, MySpace Music, Spotify, and many of their ilk that survive from one VC paycheck to the next in hopes of finding a sustainable business model. Meanwhile, more recently, mobile music iPhone apps that compete indirectly with the iPod/iPhone – were approved by the very company that makes the device.
“By having key stakeholders and players from the industry leading the debate at our event, we aim to help emerging music business models, which have received so much attention and investment, address the chaos and uncertainty rampant in the new music industry to assess the chances of their survival,” said Ned Sherman, CEO of Digital Media Wire. “Everyone knows, it is who you know as much as what you know, and at Digital Music Forum West, any participant can walk away with both.”
The two-day event is the industry’s only comprehensive digital music conference focused on the evolution and future of digital music. The conference agenda, which includes senior participants from all the major labels, leading indie labels, social networks, online music retailers, mobile companies, artists and association heads, includes top keynotes, discussions and panels on topics including mobile apps, the state of the digital union, the future of Internet radio, online video, digital innovation, investments, the digital copyright debates, social networking, music blogs and games and music.
Attendees are over 300 senior decision-makers from record labels, music publishers, producers and distributors, technology companies, wireless companies, rights organizations, industry bodies, radio, advertising, attorneys, artists, investors and venture capitalists.

Emily Wells is a 26 year old LA based musician who creates a sound as difficult to describe as it is unique. She infuses hip-hop with classical music and indie experimental rock, and grabs you with her haunting singing style. Emily puts on a truly mesmerizing live show, building each song live on stage by looping her different sounds. She’ll use a violin, a child’s xylophone, a keyboard, and that’s just getting started. Emily is known for her “symphonies,” and she will knock you down with her smooth and evocatively sensual rendition of the Notorious B.I.G.’s “Juicy.” Listen to both her and Biggie’s version below and be sure to check out her myspace page at www.myspace.com/emilywells.

We’ve been following YouTube star Tiffany Jo Allen for the past 2 years and her latest cover video has caught us by surprise. Tiffany Jo is an award winning yodeler and chart-topping western singer with over 10 million of views on YouTube, but in her latest cover of Tokio Hotel’s ‘Automatic’ she’s toned down the twang and delivered a soft and compelling vocal worth of praise.
