Elton John and Eminem

It turns out that openly gay singer Sir Elton John is helping accused homophobic rapper Eminem fight his drug problems.

Elton John told BBC Radio that Eminem is succeeding in his well-publicized battle against substance abuse.

John added that as a recovering drug abuser, he is happy to help people if they want the assistance, but he explained that drugs make people so cocky and arrogant that they often reject help.

Could he possibly be talking about Lily Allen, whom he once publicly scolded for being drunk in public at an event in London?
At the event Lily Allen dropped a couple F bombs onstage and told Elton he was old, so Elton warned her and said, “I could still snort you under the table.” Lily eventually had to be helped out of the event and into her car by her bodyguard.

Joss Stone and Lily Allen feud

Joss Stone has launched a scathing attack on fellow British singer Lily Allen, by criticizing the “Smile” star’s singing prowness and her unpopular campaign against illegal file-sharing.

Anyone else smell a catfight?

“[Lily] needs to sell records because she’s not a singer, and that’s not an offense to her because I think that she knows that too,” Joss — who has previously been accused of sleeping with producers for access to coveated beats — told The Press Association on Wednesday. “I think she’s a performer and she’s more of a personality than she is a singer. But I think when musicians are really making real music people come to the show and that’s what we make our money from, from playing live. And I think it’s probably harder for an artist like Lily and any other pop acts.”

Lily is currently campaigning to try and make internet file sharing a criminal offense in the UK. It is an effort Joss finds pointless.

“…She’s not going to win that fight. None of us will win that fight. So let’s just accept it and let’s see it as something that can be beautiful and it might change music for the better. It might sort the weeds from the flowers,” Joss remarked.

“Who said that musicians have to be millionaires? Who made this a rule? We don’t need that much money. We just don’t. We only need enough to make music and to eat and to go on tour.”
