Ke$ha has just announced the new single off of her upcoming re-release of Animal, which will now be called Cannibal. The song is titled ‘We Are Who We Are’. Is she copying Gaga’s theme of self-empowerment?

‘We Are Who We Are’ is expected to hit radio October 25th.

KE$HA’s got a new video that involves getting dirty and lots of glitter. Surprise!

Ke$ha performed her smash-hit Tik Tok at the 2010 Much Music Video awards in Toronto last night.

She spiced up her performance of this song, by doing things such as crawling on the floor and pretending to be an animal.

Katy Perry’s ‘California Gurls’ Tops Billboard Hot 100 Chart

Katy Perry logs the fastest No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 by an artist signed to Capitol Records in nearly 43 years, as “California Gurls,” featuring Snoop Dogg, rises 2-1 in its fourth week on the chart.

The song makes the quickest sprint to the summit by a Capitol single since Bobbie Gentry’s “Ode to Billie Joe” likewise reached the top spot in four weeks on the chart dated Aug. 26, 1967. Five months before Gentry, the Beatles’ “Penny Lane” had also zipped to No. 1 in four frames.

Perry’s hit crowns the chart thanks in part to its selling 318,000 downloads (up 18%) in the chart’s tracking week, according to Nielsen SoundScan. The cut leads Digital Songs for a third week. On Radio Songs, “California Gurls” jumps 10-6 (89.2 million in audience, up 25%, according to Nielsen BDS).

Miley Cyrus ‘Can’t Be Tamed’ Album Sampler

Billboard’s review for Miley Cyrus‘ new album is out and things are looking good for the young star’s highly anticipated record.

As it turns out, Cyrus has a surprise in store-”Can’t Be Tamed” has several bass-heavy, slickly produced dance numbers that thunder in such a catchy, accessible way that it may make Ke$ha down another bottle of Jack out of envy.

The title-track lead single turns the drum machine up to 11 as Cyrus belts out a party anthem chorus; it was sent to top 40 radio the week of May 3. “Who Owns My Heart” is full of ’80s-sounding keyboard riffs, and even the austerely named “Permanent December” is a throw-your-hands-in-the-air kind of track. “Two More Lonely People” also harks back to the ’80s, with Cyrus’ vocals reminiscent of Grace Slick’s on “Nothing’s Gonna Stop Us Now.” In other words: Farewell, Hannah Montana.
