Justin Timberlake Reportedly Engaged to Jessica Biel

After four years of dating including one high-profile split, Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel got engaged over the holidays while on a ski holiday, according to sources close to the couple.

According to the report, the singer-turned-actor asked his actress girlfriend to marry him on the mountains of Jackson, Wyoming some time in late December. “Justin knows how much she loves snowboarding and the mountains, so it was the perfect place,” said one source.

The couple had been spotted skiing at the Big Sky Resort in Montana around Dec. 28.

Timberlake, 30, and Biel, 29, began dating in 2007; both were coming off long-term relationships with fellow celebrities: he dated Cameron Diaz, his “Bad Teacher” co-star, for three years, while Biel dated actor Chris Evans for five.

In March of 2011, they announced they were parting ways. “The two remain friends and continue to hold the highest level of love and respect for each other,” they said.

Several months later they reunited for good, but have kept a typically low profile. During their break, Timberlake concentrated on promoting two films, “Bad Teacher” (June) and “Friends With Benefits” (July).

Joe Jonas On The Cover Of Details, Talks New Music

Joe Jonas is looking…um…hot on the cover of the new issue of Details Magazine. In the magazine, Joe talks about is upcoming solo music career. Joe has been working closely with Rob Knox who is part of The Y’s production team with Justin Timberlake.

“I look at Joe’s scenario as kind of like when Justin Timberlake broke out of ‘N Sync,” says Rob Knox, a producer working on Joe’s solo project who previously teamed up with Rihanna and Jamie Foxx. “Justin was 21 when he came out as a solo artist. Joe is coming to producers who know how to create that edgier pop feeling. We’re not doing any boy-band songs.”

“I wanted to do something you could hear in a club or something you could dance to,” says Joe. “Something that’s fun—something that’s me. I think it was definitely because I was getting older…”

Alicia Keys and Lady Gaga sign off Twitter for charity

Alicia Keys and Lady Gaga take charity work seriously, and they’re going offline to prove it.

Gaga, Justin Timberlake, Usher and other celebrities have joined a new campaign called Digital Life Sacrifice on behalf of Keys’ charity, Keep a Child Alive. The entertainers plan to sign off of social media platforms like Facebook and Twitter on Wednesday, which is World AIDS Day.

The participants will sign back on when the charity raises $1 million.

“It’s really important and super-cool to use mediums that we naturally are on,” Keys said in a phone interview from New York last week.
For the campaign — which also includes Jennifer Hudson, Ryan Seacrest, Kim and Khloe Kardashian, Elijah Wood, Serena Williams, Janelle Monae and Keys’ husband, Swizz Beatz — celebrities have filmed “last tweet and testament” videos and will appear in ads showing them lying in coffins to represent what the campaign calls their digital deaths.

“It’s so important to shock you to the point of waking up,” Keys said. “It’s not that people don’t care or it’s not that people don’t want to do something, it’s that they never thought of it quite like that.”

The campaign, she said, puts the disease in perspective.

“This is such a direct and instantly emotional way and a little sarcastic, you know, of a way to get people to pay attention,” said Keys, who has more than 2.6 million followers on Twitter.

The foundation, which began in 2003, will accept donations through text messages and bar-code technology, which is featured in the charity’s Buy Life campaign. Raised efforts support families affected by HIV/AIDS in Africa and India.

“We’re trying to sort of make the remark: Why do we care so much about the death of one celebrity as opposed to millions and millions of people dying in the place that we’re all from?” said Leigh Blake, the president and co-founder of Keep a Child Alive.

“It’s about love and respect and human dignity,” she added.

Keys said recruiting celebrities was difficult because of scheduling, but “once I got people on the phone and I was able to paint the concept for them, everybody was in.”

Not one person said no, Keys recalled.

“I have a feeling that Gaga is going to raise it all by herself,” Blake said. Lady Gaga has more than 7.2 million followers on Twitter, and nearly 24 million fans on Facebook.

“She’s got a very, very mobilized fan base and that’s beautiful to watch I think (and) she’s able to draw their attention to these issues that are very important, you know, and that people follow it and act.”

Keys is hoping more people — both famous folks and non-celebs — get involved once the new initiative launches: “It just doesn’t have to be just because you’re a celebrity or something like that. It can be anybody.”

Keys, 29, married rapper-producer Swizz Beatz in July. The two had their first son, Egypt, last month. The Grammy winner said that though her life’s getting busier, being a mother and wife makes her want to help others even more.

“As a human being, you deserve to have a chance at life,” she said.

Joe Jonas is going solo. Let’s just hope his music isn’t as whiny as his brother, Nick’s.

Now that the Jo Bros have wrapped up their Camp Rock 2 tour, Joe will be hitting the studio to record music for his upcoming solo album. Joe is planning to release his first solo album in early 2011.

So what can fans expect? “He is working with various writers and producers on music,” an insider said, adding that Joe “wants a more dangerous sound,” along the lines of a “sexier, Justin Timberlake.”

Dutch songstress Esmee Denters has covered Stevie Wonder’s classic ‘As‘ for Billboard’s Mash Up Mondays. You may remember that George Michael and Mary J Blige had a pretty big hit with this song back in the day, but we think Esmee has done a pretty good job too.

Esmee’s new single ‘Love Dealer‘ featuring Justin Timberlake is out next week (12th July).

For those of you that don’t know much about Esmee Denters, she started her career by posting videos on YouTube performing covers of her favorite songs. After a few years of singing online Justin Timberlake signed her to his record label and she even went on tour with him.

Sheryl Crow just released the first single “Summer Day” off of her upcoming album 100 Miles From Memphis and new details are emerging on what fans can expect from the rest of the album. Sheryl’s teaming up with Justin Timberlake to cover Terence Trent D’Arby’s “Sign Your Name”.
