Paula Abdul, Jessica Simpson, or Cheryl Cole To Judge X-Factor?

According to statements from Simon Cowell in the new issue of People magazine, it looks like he’s narrowed down his choices for who he wants to judge the X-Factor.

“Paula Abdul. She has good taste in music, though you didn’t always see that on TV. I also like Jessica Simpson. She knows what she’s talking about; she’s very into the mentoring side and is underrated as a singer. I think Cheryl Cole’s personality would translate in America…”

And as for Mariah Carey:

“After Mariah Carey has her babies, there might be a role for her during the live shows,” he added.

Ellen DeGeneres Signs Jessica Simpson To Record Deal

We didn’t see this one coming! Jessica Simpson has landed a new record deal with Ellen DeGeneres’ new label, eleveneleven. I’m not sure this will make Simpson any more relevant in the music business, but good for her.

Jessica Simpson recently teamed up with the Marines for a one-of-a-kind duet! She and Aviation Boatswain’s Mate 3rd Class John Britt recorded a song together on the U.S.S. Harry Truman, and she and John will travel to New York together to perform at the Rockefeller Christmas Tree Lighting!

“We were thrilled to have Ms. Simpson out here,” said Capt. Joe Clarkson, commanding officer of the U.S.S. Harry Truman. “I appreciate her selflessness in giving her time to tell Sailors and Marines how much she appreciates their service. I hope that she realizes that her short time on board really did raise morale and make a difference.”

Happy Christmas is scheduled to be released on December 7, 2010. Jessica also has a Christmas TV special airing on PBS next month!

Could Jessica Simpson Be The New Idol Judge?

Rumors were flying yesterday claiming that Jessica Simpson is in talks with American Idol producers to be the new judge on the upcoming season of the show. According to Entertainment Weekly and TMZ, Simpson has met with Idol producers, but she is one of many people being considered for the job and no official announcement has been made.

Would Jessica make a good judge on Idol? She hasn’t done anything significant in music in years! Then again, neither had Paula Abdul and Ellen…well, Ellen hasn’t done anything at all. It’s just a TV show after all.

Jessica Simpson To Collaborate With Katy Perry?

Rumors started swirling yesterday online that Jessica Simpson is looking to work with pop star, Katy Perry, in an attempt to make herself relevant once again in music. After her failed stint in country music, Jessica is eager to reinvent herself.

A source claims:

“Jessica is busy working on new songs and a new direction and has a number of names she would love to collaborate with and Katy is at the top. She’s hoping she might be able to work with her in some way and maybe even perform with her.”

Jessica Simpson Doesn’t Like The Taste Of Cow Urine

Jessica Simpson drank cow urine for her new reality show, “The Price of Beauty.” She said, “I puke a couple of times… I had to drink some cow urine; not tasty at all…In India, it’s a way of detoxing. I wouldn’t recommend it personally.”

Jessica’s rumored boyfriend, Billy Corgan, has been in the news lately after addressing John Mayers rude comments he made about Jessica in Playboy magazine.

Billy Corgan told Rolling Stone magazine, “I think for any person, who has celebrity, to sort of drop rocks at somebody else’s feet like that, there’s things you should really just keep your mouths shut on. There’s things that should just be left alone.”

So what did we learn today? Don’t drink cow urine and John Mayer is a dumbass.

Jessica Simpson Releases New Song ‘Who We Are’

With the upcoming premier of her new reality tv series ‘The Price of Beauty’, Jessica Simpson has recorded the theme song to the show and premiered it on Ryan Seacrest’s KIISfm morning radio show.

Simpson told Seacrest:

“I was inspired to write whenever I got back from traveling the world. It’s about the discoveries I found within myself and realizing that I defined my own beauty for myself. We all struggle with the same issues. We all battle self-esteem. It’s just about being good enough for yourself.”

The Price Of Beauty premieres @ 10PM ET/PT on March 15 on VH1.

John Mayer Tells Playboy Magazine “I Consider Myself A Good Guy”

John Mayer may have had a string of celebrity beauties, such as, Jessica Simpson, Jennifer Love Hewitt, and Jennifer Aniston, but he wants to let everyone know he doesn’t think he’s such a bad boyfriend or a terrible guy.

He tells Playboy magazine, “I consider myself a good guy, with the best of intentions. Anyone who has been in a relationship with me would stand by the fact that I’ve never been callous. I’ve never been a bad boy. I may have taken someone through the wringer psychologically, but I’ve never been sinister.”

Mr. Mayer….we still think you’re a playa.

Jessica Simpson Dating Smashing Pumpkins Frontman

What an odd couple.

Rumor has it that Jessica Simpson has been secretly dating Smashing Pumpkins frontman, Billy Corgan. Simpson, 29, is reportedly crazy about Corgan, 42.

An unlikely match, Simpson hasn’t had the best of luck with men since her divorce from Nick Lachey in 2005, so maybe different is good when it comes to Simpson’s love life.

“She has completely fallen for Billy and his easygoing, smart attitude,”a close friend of Jess said. “She says she wants to take things a lot further.”

Simpson and Corgan met at a party in L.A. on November 6th.

“As the night went on,” an eyewitness said, “Things got more intense and they talked with their faces just inches apart.”

With her recent crossover into country music, I’m surprised she hasn’t dated a country star. That might help revive her music career…
