The Jackson 5: J5 Live @ The Forum is a new 2-CD set released June 22 that uncovers an amazing chapter from the phenomenal career of Michael Jackson and his brothers in the J5: their extraordinary performances from the Los Angeles Forum, recorded in June 1970 and August 1972–the first at the start of their rapid ascent to stardom, the second when they became established icons. These brilliant shows have not been released in any form until now, the 40th anniversary of the 1970 show.
J5 Live @ The Forum features earth-shaking live performances of the group’s best-known hits – “I Want You Back,” “ABC,” “The Love You Save,” “I’ll Be There,” “Never Can Say Goodbye” and more. Single B-sides “I Found That Girl” and “I’m So Happy” and such surprises as album cuts “Bridge Over Troubled Water” and “Zip A Dee Do Dah,” plus songs not released by the J5, including covers of James Brown’s “There Was a Time” and the Isley Brothers’ “It’s Your Thing,” are part of the shows. The Jackson 4 To Go On Tour?

Michael Jackson’s brothers have announced they’re set to hit the road as The Jackson 4. Jermaine, Tito, Jackie and Marlon want to tour the world playing the hits that took them to the top of the charts before their little brother Michael went on to become a solo superstar.
Eldest sibling Jackie, 58, says, “For 40 years, we’ve had great support from our fans around the world. And we should give them a great tour.”
Jermaine, 54, adds, “We want to go out there, hit the road and just jam.”

Los Angeles came to a standstill last night as Hollywood A-listers joined the Jackson brothers for the premiere of the King of Pop’s concert rehearsal movie This Is It.
The L.A. launch of the tour documentary – featuring Michael Jackson’s final stage performances before his death in June – coincided with the worldwide release of the film, which premiered across 15 cities including London; Seoul, South Korea; Johannesburg, South Africa; Rio De Janeiro, Brazil; and Berlin, Germany.
The superstar’s brothers Jermaine, Tito, Jackie and Marlon walked the red carpet alongside Will Smith, Jennifer Lopez, Katy Perry and Paris Hilton. Jermaine Jackson promised fans they’d be blown away – but urged people to remember the footage was shot during rehearsals and not a full-blown performance.
He explained, “You are going to see preparations for what would have been one of the greatest shows ever. You are going to see him going through the motions, not giving 100 percent.”
Jackson’s mother Katherine and his three children were believed to have watched a private showing of the film at a screening at Sony Studios on the same night.

Michael Jackson “I Look Like A Lizard”

Michael Jackson shared some private information with Rabbi Shmuley Boteach. Michael Jackson explained why he covered his face in public, and hinted about his motives for undergoing extensive plastic surgery.
The late star said, “I look like a lizard, I look like, it’s horrible. I don’t like it, I never like it. That’s why I wish I could never be photographed or seen and I push myself to go to the things that we go to. I just don’t want to look old. I hate to see people grow old, Shmuley.”
Boteach, who taped the interviews between 1999 and 2001, claims he confronted Jackson about his surgery addiction, but insists his pal was in denial.
I don’t know if I would say he looks like a lizard, but he looks like something…..
Michael Jackson’s Tribute Concert Is On Pause For A Year!

Looks like Jermaine Jackson finally came to his senses. After Chris Brown, Mary J. Blige and Natalie Cole had no plans on performing, the Vienna concert is now postponed.
Jermaine issued this statement:
“Many artists and performers who I have spoken to personally told me that it would be a great honor to be part of this memorial concert for my late brother – an artist who influenced the music world like virtually no other. However, due to the short time frame it was not possible for many of them to change their schedule so that they could be on stage in Vienna on September 26, therefore we decided, after careful consideration, to change the date of the tribute concert to June 2010 – just a few weeks before the first anniversary of his untimely death. Now we have 8 months to put this monumental show together and not just 8 weeks. Despite the short amount of time we would have been able to stage a great show, in keeping with Michael’s high standards, but numerous stars were just not able to change their schedules to make a live appearance at the Vienna event possible.”
Mary J. Blige Won’t Do Michael Jackson Vienna Tribute

Jermaine Jackson’s planned Vienna, Austria tribute to his late brother Michael is beginning to look like a case of wishful thinking – Mary J. Blige has turned the show down.
Jackson announced Blige and Chris Brown would be among the headliners at a press conference on Tuesday, but both have since insisted they won’t be part of the September 26 concert at the Imperial Schonbrunn Palace.
Brown’s spokesperson has said, “Chris is not confirmed to perform or participate in any capacity for this show,” and now Blige’s people have followed suit – an aide insists the singer will be in Italy and not in Austria on the day of the tribute.
Natalie Cole, Akon and Sister Sledge are also on the bill, according to Jermaine.
Meanwhile, promoters are trying to play down reports that the King of Pop’s brother is staging the Vienna show against his mother Katherine’s wishes. Event organizer George Kindel says, “She will be there with Michael Jackson’ s kids.”
Don’t you think Jermaine would have confirmation from the celebrities before holding a press conference?
Chris Brown To Lead Michael Jackson Tribute Concert

Chris Brown is to make his musical comeback by headlining the upcoming tribute concert to Michael Jackson in Vienna, Austria.
Chris has been announced as the first headline act for the star-studded Jackson tribute concert set to take place on September 26th. The news was revealed by the King of Pop’s brother Jermaine at a press conference in Vienna on Tuesday. The Jackson 5 singer told reporters, “Michael was his idol and he (Brown) dedicated his first number one hit in the U.S. to Michael. Chris is a very, very talented artist.”
Other artists on the bill include Mary J. Blige, Natalie Cole and Sister Sledge, as well as boy-band US5. The rest of the line up will be unveiled in a series of press conferences to be held over the course of this week with scheduled stops in both London and Berlin, Germany.
Jermaine revealed the tribute concert, which will take place in front of 65,000 fans at Vienna’s former imperial Schoenbrunn Palace, will feature a multi-cultural line up – because his brother’s music touched people all over the globe.
He adds, “We have many, many surprises. This is growing more and more and we have more names to announce. We want this to be a dignified performance for Michael – he attracted people from around the globe so we need to have a diverse mix of talent.”
