Chely Wright Comes Out

Country star Chely Wright has officially come out of the closet. She is the first female country singer to be an open lesbian.

The press has been reporting for a few weeks now that there was going to be a big star coming out. It wasn’t until a couple of days ago that we found out that it was a female that sings country music. Naturally Chely Wright decided to break the news to People magazine, she shared with the mag that she has felt pressure to keep her sexuality a secret after launching her career in 1994.

She tells People magazine, “There had never, ever been a country music artist who had acknowledged his or her homosexuality. I wasn’t going to be the first.”

Chely Wright, 39, reveals she is ready to face the world as a lesbian: “Nothing in my life has been more magical than the moment I decided to come out.”

Chely sang the hit songs, “Shut Up and Drive,” and “Single White Female.” Watch “Shut Up and Drive” below.

Pink and Linda Perry and Shane Bitney Crone

At the annual Evening With Women event in Los Angeles Saturday night, Linda Perry and Pink did a surprise performance of the hit song, “What’s Up?” A.K.A. “What’s Going On?”

We happened to be there and let me tell you, Pink brought the crowd to their feet with her powerful and moving performance. Prior to the performance Pink appeared onstage during the live auction sitting atop a Vespa that sold for $12,000. Pink let the winning bidder sit on the bike with her and be photographed with the singer who had a lit cigarette in one hand and a glass of wine in the other.

In the past few years it has been known that there was some friction between Pink and Linda Perry but they squashed those rumors last night and it was quite obvious they are friends.

An Evening With Women is an annual benefit to raise money for the Los Angeles Gay & Lesbian Center.

Justin Bieber Sexy

Superstar Justin Bieber is not afraid to admit he likes older women, but they have to be under 40.

He tells ShowbizSpy.com, “Anything above 40 is a little too old for me. I just look for a girl who is funny and has nice eyes and a smile.” And socialite Kim Kardashian is currently top of his list – at the age of 29, she fits his criteria.

He adds, “I think she’s cute. And, no, she’s not too old for me.”

Justin Bieber may only be 16 years old, but he’s well aware of the fact he could get any chick he wants no matter how old they might be.

Bret Michaels

Although Bret Michaels suffered a brain hemorrhage last week his aides want his fans to know that the Poison singer should be returning to the stage May 26.

There have been reports that Bret Michaels would need months of rehabilitation but he might be able to leave Arizona where he is recovering sooner then we all thought.

In a post on Bret Michaels MySpace.com profile, a publicist writes, “While Bret is recovering, we obviously have some shows that are being rescheduled. We are working to reschedule dates from now until May 21st. At this time we are planning to resume the tour (on) May 26th in Ft. Smith, Arkansas provided there are no further complications or setbacks. We will then continue with all scheduled dates throughout the summer and fall, including the June and July tour with LYNYRD SKYNYRD. Look for additional information in the days and weeks to come.”

Get well Bret!

Kelly Clarkson is not a happy camper! A demo track she was working on was leaked on the internet.

The American Idol winner is holding hackers responsible for leaking the track titled, “Cleopatra” without her permission.

Clarkson took it to her Twitter page to show how disgusted she is:

“Cleopatra is NOT a song on my next record! It was written for another artist! I have no idea how it leaked, it’s a rough demo, unfinished! I’m so tired of disrespecting, lying, sneaky little trolls that pretend to be human.”

Those sneaky trolls will get you every time!

M.I.A.

In a case of Erykah Badu Deja Vu, M.I.A.’s new video “Born Free” is so graphic its been pulled from YouTube.com. The Sri Lankan rap star’s nine-minute short film has been banned from YouTube.com due to its disturbing scenes of graphic violence and partial nudity.

The controversial music video premiered on M.I.A.’s official website on Monday. M.I.A. revealed shortly after that thanks to bosses at her label UMG, the video is not welcome on YouTube.

M.I.A. Tweeted Monday:“FUCK UMG WHO WONT SHOW IT ON YOUTUBE! FOR THE U.S >>>>>>WATCH HERE http://miauk.com/,” she Tweeted Monday. “OK NOT UMG FAULT!”

In the “Born Free” vid, military police round up red-headed boys in a series of violent raids and beat them to death. In one particularly disturbing scene, a 10-year-old boy is shot in the head in an effort to force other children to escape the concentration camps.

The music video is pretty intense. If you want to watch it you can find it below.

Bret Michaels

Rocker/frontman Bret Michaels of Poison is still in ICU after suffering a brain hemorrhage last Thursday. Bret was recovering at his home in Texas after an emergency operation to remove his appendix when he was hit by a massive headache on Thursday night, which landed him back in the hospital. The doctors diagnosed him with a brain hemorrhage and placed him in the Intensive Care Unit to determine what the cause was of his internal bleeding.

However, Bret Michaels is fighting to “return to normal” under the supervision of medics who are treating him.

A post on his website reads, “At this point Bret remains in ICU in critical condition. He is under 24 hour doctors’ care and supervision. We are hopeful that further tests will locate the source of the bleeding, which has still not been located. As we all know Bret is a fighter and we are hopeful that once all is complete the slurred speech, blurred vision and dizziness, etc. will be eliminated and all functions will return to normal.”

Get better Bret! We think you have been through enough lately!
