New Details On Lady Antebellum’s Upcoming Album

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Lady Antebellum’s Charles Kelley revealed new details on the trios upcoming album:
“We all remember high school dances, and how innocent those little moments were,” he says. “I think there’s gonna be a lot of nostalgic songs on the record. Maybe that’s just because we’re all getting a little older. Now we’re so busy and there’s a little part of us that yearns for a time when it was a little simpler. I don’t know what fueled that.”
“If we were to use the success of ‘Need You Now’ as the barometer for every other song, then we’ll probably be highly disappointed. That song will probably undoubtedly be the biggest song of our career. We can hopefully have success for 20 years, but we may not ever have the success of that one particular song again. But we might. You never know. But we’re gonna try not to chase it, is what I’m sayin’. If we try to chase that too much, we’ll start to deviate from what made the sound of the group.”
Following the success of ‘Need You Now’, their approach on the new album is more realistic than trying to top one of the biggest hits in country music.

Fans of Avril Lavigne are excited for her return to the music scene with the upcoming release of her album Goodbye Lullaby.
Avril opens up to Entertainment Weekly about the direction of her new album and the struggles she’s faced with her record label:
“Yes! The song is more pop and uptempo and kind of reminiscent of my old stuff, and the rest of the record is more stripped and raw and a little deeper. So this album is less pop-rock than the previous stuff, but the first single is a more like that.”
“Yes, somewhat. I’ve been really anxious just to get back out there and to sing and to tour, so I know that the fans were all really waiting, being super supportive, and I really appreciate that. You know a lot of people run into complications with their record companies sometimes where they have their vision, but I’ve always had my own vision for my music and I put my foot down, and you know, had to be strong about that, and overall I made the record that I wanted to make, so I’m very happy with it and very excited to finally be putting it out.”
Avril will be debuting her new single “What The Hell” on Dick Clark’s New Years Rockin Eve Special. “What the Hell” will then be available as a free download on New Years Day for fans who ‘like’ her official Facebook page. Guess we better go “like” her page…

Justin Timberlake regrets the way he handled Janet Jackson’s famed wardrobe malfunction at the 2004 Super Bowl Half-Time Show, insisting he should have been more supportive. The “Cry Me A River” singer was performing onstage with Jackson and ripped open her jacket, revealing her bare breast to the world on live TV.
Timberlake immediately distanced himself from the incident — and Janet. As the scandal intensified, the singer spoke out and confessed he had no idea Janet intended to go topless – if that, indeed, was her intention.
J.T. now feels he could have handled the controversy better.
He tells Entertainment Weekly: “I wish I had supported Janet more. I am not sorry I apologized, but I wish I had been there more for Janet.”

Eminem and Lady Gaga have been added to the performer lineup for the American Music Awards, according to Entertainment Weekly. The 37th annual show, which will air live from Los Angeles on November 22, will also feature performances from Jay-Z, Alicia Keys, Jennifer Lopez, the Black Eyed Peas and, in the television debut of the title track from his upcoming album For Your Entertainment, Adam Lambert.
The show will be an “American Idol” reunion of sorts, as alumni Kelly Clarkson, Chris Daughtry and Carrie Underwood will perform as well.
The awards show will feature a similarly glittering array of nominees determined by data from Nielsen SoundScan radio and retail figures, with Taylor Swift in the lead with six nominations, followed by the late Michael Jackson and Eminem at five apiece. Though Jackson had not released new material for nearly a decade, his nominations are based on the strong sales of his catalog albums following his June 25 death.
Swift’s nominations include Artist of the Year; Favorite Country Album (for Fearless); Favorite Female Pop or Rock Artist; and Favorite Female Country Artist. MJ was also recognized in the Pop or Rock Artist of Year category, Favorite Soul/R&B Male Artist and Favorite Soul/R&B Album (for Number Ones). Em’s nominations include Artist of the Year; Favorite Male Pop or Rock Artist; Favorite Male Rap/Hip-Hop Artist; and Favorite Rap/Hip-Hop Album (for Relapse).
Other multiple-category nominees include Lady Gaga, T.I., Kings of Leon, Beyoncé and the Peas, who all have three. For the third year, winners will be determined by online voting.
