Mariah Carey’s latest album will be released September 29, 2009 after being pushed back a few times.

“I Want To Know What Love Is” as the second single pick from her forthcoming new album on Island Records, “Memoirs Of An Imperfect Angel”. The special 2-CD package contains the full album and an enhanced disc two containing four remixes plus two videos.

Mariah Carey Reaches The Hot 100 Top 10

After a lot of criticism of her latest single ‘Obsession,’ Mariah Carey’s song has found it’s way up the Billboard Hot 100 chart and landed in the Top 10. ‘Obsession’ currently sits at the no. 7 spot. I guess it just took some time for the song to grow with fans.

Carey’s latest top 10 hit puts her in a tie for 5th place for the most top 10 hits in the history of the Hot 100. She is tied with Elton John and Janet Jackson. Ahead of her are Madonna with 37, The Beatles with 34, and Michael Jackson and Stevie wonder with 28 each.

Mariah Carey Peforms In Las Vegas At The Palms Casino Resort

Mariah Carey is in Las Vegas for a limited run of concerts, and we’ve got pix of the sexy songbird in rehearsals!

Mariah will hit the stage this Friday and Saturday (as well as the weekend of October 9-10) at The Pearl Concert Theater inside the Palms Casino Resort. It’s the first time the Grammy winner has played such an intimate venue and fans are already buzzing about the show.

According to Nielsen/Soundscan, Whitney Houston’s greatly anticipated album I Look To You has debuted at #1 on several charts around the world, including US Top Albums, R&B Albums and the top spot in Canada, Germany, Italy, and Switzerland.

The diva sold 304,801 units in the first week of release in the States, which marks the best selling first week sales of her career and best selling first week by a female artist this year.
