Nick Jonas to replace Daniel Radcliffe on Broadway

Nick Jonas is heading back to the Great White Way.

The Jonas Brothers guitarist, who lately has been returning to his stage roots in productions of “Les Miserables” and “Hairspray,” has signed on for the lead role in the Broadway Production of “How to Succeed in Show Business Without Really Trying.”

The tween sensation made the announcement on his Twitter account Wednesday, writing, “It’s official. I’m coming back to Broadway … So excited and honored to play the role of J. Pierrepont Finch in ‘How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying’ next year!”

Jonas will inherit the role of the ambitious window-washer from “Harry Potter” star Daniel Radcliffe, who assumed the part in March and will vacate the revival of the show on January 1. According to MTV, Jonas will begin his run in the part on January 24 and hold the gig until July 1 of next year. “Glee” star Darren Criss will serve as interim star in the production between Radcliffe and Jonas.

Though more recently known as a Disney pop star, the 18-year-old Jonas began his career in live theater at the age of 7, performing in such Broadway productions as “Annie Get Your Gun,” “A Christmas Carol” and “Beauty and the Beast.”

Demi Lovato Shows Appreciation To Her Fans In A Video Message

Demi Lovato says she’s ready to go back to work on her popular Disney Show, “Sonny With a Chance” and she is so thankful to her fans for lifting her up during what she calls “probably the darkest time in my life.”

The 18-year-old Disney star entered a treatment facility last November to deal with “emotional and physical issues.” Not too long ago she had to drop out of a tour with the Jonas Brothers and it was revealed that she had fought with a backup dancer.

In a video released on Cambio.com on Monday, Lovato told fans she’s back home.

Lovato says she was dealing with issues that teen girls face but didn’t say what they were. In the past, she has acknowledged cutting herself.

Lovato told fans they brought light in her life during her darkest hours and without them “I probably wouldn’t be here today.”

In the video, Lovato said she was ready to resume working. However, a statement released by Disney on Monday said Lovato’s management would let them know when she is ready to return. While “Sonny” was on hiatus, Disney put the rest of the cast and crew to work on “So Random,” the sketch comedy show within the “Sonny” series. Those episodes will begin airing in the spring, Disney said.

Demi Lovato checks into a treament center and quits tour

Demi Lovato, one of Disney’s biggest names, checked herself into a treatment center to deal with “emotional and physical issues,” her representatives said in a statement Monday night.

The statement did not specify the 18-year-old’s problems, but said Lovato checked herself into a facility to address the concerns.

A person familiar with the situation previously told The Associated Press that Lovato entered treatment for problems including an eating disorder and cutting herself. The person, speaking on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak publicly due to the sensitivity of the matter, later clarified the statement, saying Lovato had dealt with those issues in the past.

Lovato, who is star of Disney’s “Camp Rock” movies and the sitcom “Sonny With a Chance,” was on an international tour as a special guest of the Jonas Brothers, but left the tour over the weekend to enter an undisclosed facility, according to the statement.

“Demi has decided to take personal responsibility for her actions and seek help,” the statement said. “She is doing just that. Demi and her family ask that the media respect her privacy during this difficult time.”

In a 2009 interview with The Associated Press, Lovato, who has also released several records, said she had to leave middle school at one point because she was bullied so badly.

“It was more verbal harassment than physical abuse, but that’s actually more scarring than anything,” she said. “And I had to leave because I just couldn’t deal with it. And I’ve home-schooled ever since.”

Lovato was linked earlier this year to Joe Jonas, her “Camp Rock” co-star, but the two later broke up and said they remained friends.
Her rep said Lovato regretted not finishing the tour but “is looking forward to getting back to work in the near future.”

Selena Gomez performs “Round & Round” on America’s Got Talent

Disney star Selena Gomez performed her latest single, “Round & Round” last night on NBC’s America’s Got Talent.

Lets face it, Selena is not the most graceful Disney star and she doesn’t have the best voice, but you can’t deny she’s a cutie.

Selena Gomez’s sophomore album will be titled “A Year Without Rain” and will be releasing at the end of September 2010.

The Jonas Brothers Are Going Back On Tour

The Jonas Brothers are back, and they are going on tour this summer.

We were all worried that Nick’s solo career and Kevin getting married would potentially be the end of the Jonas Brothers as we knew it! Well we can all relax, Kevin confirmed a summer concert tour.

Kevin told Radio Disney “We are going back on tour this summer.”

Nick claims that this tour will be huge, he said “It will be unlike any tour we’ve done before, and we’re really looking forward to getting back out there with our fans.”

There should be an official announcement any day now.

Demi Lovato To Have Guest Appearance On “Grey’s Anatomy”

Disney superstar Demi Lovato has landed a guest role on ABC’s award winning Thursday night drama Grey’s Anatomy.

She’s just full of big news lately! First she confirms she’s dating Joe Jonas and now she lands a gig on Grey’s Anatomy! The role on Grey’s is reportedly quite different than her normal work. She is rumored to be playing a schizophrenic in the episode for Grey’s Anatomy which will air in May.

Demi took it to Twitter to share her excitement. She said, “I’m so thrilled to announce that this week I’m shooting Grey’s Anatomy!!!!!!!! AHHH!!!!”

Miley Cyrus Is Taking A Break From Music

Superstar Miley Cyrus will be taking time off after she releases her latest album (scheduled to be released later this year), mainly because she is lacking inspiration and she doesn’t want to just knock out tracks she doesn’t believe in.

All musicians need to take breaks sometimes just to regroup and find inspiration, especially Miley whose music has always been so epic? (That was a joke) But really, Miley thinks some time off will do her good!

She tells Teen Vogue magazine, “The more I make music that doesn’t truly inspire me, the more I feel like I’m blending in with everyone else. So after this next album, I’m taking some time off.”

Maybe Miley should release an album of duets with her father, Billy Ray Cyrus. JUST KIDDING! Really…please don’t do that Miley.

Young Hollywood Attends The 82nd Annual Academy Awards

Here at iMusicDaily.com we had the opportunity to attend The 82nd Annual Academy Awards. We had a fun position on the red carpet and we were able to get some great shots.

Apparently booking stars like Zac Efron, and Miley Cyrus helped give the show their highest ratings since 2005.

I think they need to have at least a couple singers perform during the live show, what do you think?

Also in attendance was Faith Hill, Tim McGraw, Jennifer Lopez, Marc Anthony, Lenny Kravitz, Nicole Richie and Joel Madden.

Miley Cyrus To Sell Grammy Dress For Haiti

Miley Cyrus is stepping up her efforts to help victims of the Haiti earthquake. She is planning on raising money by selling the dress she wore to Sunday night’s Grammy Awards.

Miley stepped out on the red carpet in Los Angeles wearing a teal-colored gown by Herve Leger. She has decided to put her dress on internet auction site eBay.com to raise money for charity efforts in Haiti, which was devastated by a massive tremor last month.

She tells USA Today, “I’m going to auction it (the dress) off on eBay for the Red Cross. It’s the little things you can do. I think it’s really important that everybody come (sic) together because disaster relief isn’t just now. It’s how we’re going to help years from now. We have to restore an entire place. It just can’t be one person, one foundation, one group of people. All people have to come together.”

Kevin Jonas Is A Softy, A Big Ol Softy

Newlywed Kevin Jonas struggled to hold back the tears once he laid eyes on his wife-to-be Danielle Deleasa walking down the aisle. He confessed to People magazine he “lost it” and burst into tears.

The famous Jonas Brother wed his longtime girlfriend in a romantic ceremony at Oheka Castle in Long Island, New York on December 19, 2009. Kevin’s father, Kevin Sr. was even the ordained minister.

They were joined by over 400 guests, including celebrity pals Joey Fatone, Demi Lovato, and Jordin Sparks. Jonas admits he was very emotional when it was time to exchange vows, because Deleasa looked so beautiful.

He tells People magazine, “When I saw her, I lost it. Once I lost it, it was like a tidal wave.”

Deleasa felt the same.

Deleasa adds, “I was adjusting my veil, and I started crying before I got to the aisle.”
