Broadcasting & Cable broke the news on Monday that Combs will be launching Revolt, a music-themed channel which is said to go live on December 12, 2012.

According to B&C, who cited unnamed sources, the producer/rapper has hooked up with former MTV programming chief Andy Schuon to develop the network, which is said to be aimed at African-American audiences. It is being reported that Comcast will distribute Revolt, though a Comcast rep would not confirm Diddy’s involvement. Time Warner Cable, however, admitted to having “some discussions” with Combs regarding Revolt and it is being reporting that they will also be involved with the network’s distribution.

A few days ago Nicki Minaj was seen leaving Guys and Dolls LA nightclub with P. Diddy. Was this just two business associates hanging out? Diddy does happen to be her new business manager. Or could it be a wild romance? They are clearly holding hands. Either way, Nicki needs to cheer up. Your teen fans, or Teenage Mutant Ninja Barbies, as you call them love you, Nicki. After all, you are pretty much the only female rapper on the radio these days.

Puff Daddy P Diddy Sean Combs old school pic

Happy Birthday Puff Daddy, also knows as Diddy, P Diddy, Puff, Daddy, Diddy Doody Daddy, and Sean Combs. He turns 40 years old today! He’s officially over-the-hill!

Last month the hip-hop star brushed off the loss of a $20,000 ring, joking he “didn’t like” the jewelry anyway. He showed up at 106 & Park on the BET network and accidentally flung his pricey ring into the crowd as he threw bundles of cash into the air while making his studio entrance.

Fans were placed on lockdown as they were searched for the missing jewelry, but the ring was nowhere to be found.

Happy Birthday old man that is obsessed with tweeting! Tweet Tweet!

P.S. How awesome is that picture of him! Haha

Liz Davis has won MTV’s Starmaker!

We knew if from the moment we were first introduced to the country singer on Diddy’s latest reality talent competition.

Week after week, Liz has taken the direction of the judges to improve her natural born talent. Last night, she emerged as a star.

Davis found out she had won the competition just like the rest of us last night, on television. The pre-taped series filmed three alternate endings in order to keep the winner a secret until the finale aired on MTV.

She never once doubted herself as an artist at any point in the competition. She was country from the get go and performed Gretchen Wilson’s ‘Redneck Woman’ on the finale, which happened to be the song that initially secured her spot on the show.

Liz Davis has made history by becoming the first country artist signed to Diddy’s Bad Boy label.

It’s time for someone to give Carrie Underwood a run for her money!

We’ve been following Diddy’s MTV show Starmaker since it started and one contestant has held on to our attention through the ups and downs each week. Liz Davis is a country star in the making!

Liz has followed the judges directions and performed hits from pop to country, and this week, Diddy requested that Liz return to her country roots to perform Carrie Underwood’s ‘Before He Cheats’. It has been great to see Liz’s transformation over the weeks and she appeared on stage as a star this week from head to toe and delivered a vocal that has left the remaining contestants worried about their chances of winning the competition.

Check out Liz’s performance of ‘Before He Cheats’ (fast-forward to the 17:13 mark) –

Marissa Shipp Sent Home On Starmaker

On the 2nd episode of P. Diddy’s Starmaker on MTV, 20yr old Marissa Shipp was sent home. Marissa performed Miley Cyrus’ ’7 Things’ and the judges didn’t like it. Judge Rodney Jerkins said Marissa chose the wrong song, wrong outfit, and ran around the stage way too much.

Only the ladies sang last night and the judges said that Monét was the one to beat after she performed Katy Perry’s ‘Hot and Cold.’ There’s no denying that she improved this week, but there’s no way she’s the one to beat. Our bets are on Liz!
