[video] American Idol “Welcome Home” TV Special

In preparation for the upcoming season of American Idol, Fox and Idol producers put together a TV special that brought together past Idol winners to show where they came from and how far they’ve come since winning American Idol. Kelly Clarkson, Ruben Studdard, Fantasia, Carrie Underwood, Taylor Hicks, Jordin Sparks, David Cook, Kris Allen and Lee DeWyze shared their stories of becoming an American Idol.

The Script To Open For David Cook’s Extended US Tour

Fresh of their recent tours with U2 and Parachute, Irish rockers The Script are set to head back out on the road with American Idol winner David Cook as he extends his headlining tour in support of his debut album. The Script will join Cook starting November 3rd in Phoenix, AZ.

LADY GAGA TO PERFORM ON “AMERICAN IDOL” THIS WEEK

You won’t want to miss this weeks results show on ‘American Idol’. On Wednesday April 1st, Lady Gaga will be performing her smash hit ‘Poker Face’!

Also performing will be last years Idol winner, David Cook. Apparently, he has a new single ‘Come Back To Me’, but we doubt anyone really cares about him now that he doesn’t want his fans following him around…

ARCHULETA TO SING ‘IMAGINE’ AT FINALE

It was reported this morning on KIIS-FM in Los Angeles that David Archuleta will repeat his performance of “Imagine” by John Lennon at the Idol Finale on Tuesday night. Is this a good decision for David? His dad probably told him to do it…

“Imagine” was one of the most memorable performances on this season of Idol, so maybe it will help David take home the title this week. I, personally, do not think that the producer’s song choices were fair on last week’s show. It was obvious that David Cook was their favorite going into the finale. Hopefully, David’s repeat performance of “Imagine” will remind everyone why he should be this year’s American Idol. His performance has had over 1.2 millions views on Youtube! Unfortunately, the odds might be against him. Repeating a popular performance didn’t work for Katherine McPhee when she sang “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” during the Season 5 finale. We’ll have to wait and see what happens!
