New Details On Lady Antebellum’s Upcoming Album

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Lady Antebellum’s Charles Kelley revealed new details on the trios upcoming album:

“We all remember high school dances, and how innocent those little moments were,” he says. “I think there’s gonna be a lot of nostalgic songs on the record. Maybe that’s just because we’re all getting a little older. Now we’re so busy and there’s a little part of us that yearns for a time when it was a little simpler. I don’t know what fueled that.”

“If we were to use the success of ‘Need You Now’ as the barometer for every other song, then we’ll probably be highly disappointed. That song will probably undoubtedly be the biggest song of our career. We can hopefully have success for 20 years, but we may not ever have the success of that one particular song again. But we might. You never know. But we’re gonna try not to chase it, is what I’m sayin’. If we try to chase that too much, we’ll start to deviate from what made the sound of the group.”

Following the success of ‘Need You Now’, their approach on the new album is more realistic than trying to top one of the biggest hits in country music.

Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood reunite to host “Country Music’s Biggest Night™” for a third time in 2010. “The 44th Annual CMA Awards” airs live from the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville on Wednesday, Nov. 10 (8:00-11:00 PM/ET) on the ABC Television Network.

“Carrie and Brad have done a tremendous job hosting and we are very happy to have them back again this year,” said Steve Moore, CMA Chief Executive Officer. “They have developed a natural rhythm and have a great rapport with the audience – both in the house and our fans watching at home. They each have a great sense of humor and timing, which are two essential ingredients for hosting a live awards broadcast.”

“The CMAs are different from any other awards night,” said Brad. “You’re looking at a roomful of people who love each other. And any new viewer will be pleasantly surprised at what they relate to on the Awards and what they like that they had no idea they would like. For that reason alone, this is the most important night of the year for Country Music.”

“It’s all about Country Music,” said Underwood. “We all live here. This is our community. The CMA Awards are in Nashville, the home of Country Music. It’s great to come here and celebrate that every year.”

When it comes to fresh new talent, the country music scene is where it’s at, especially with new comer Heather Mackey.

While most girls her age are trying to figure out who they want to be, at 19, Heather’s got her arms wide open to the future and is already making a name for herself in the country music world. Heather recently spent some time in Nashville recording in the famous Sound Kitchen.

Like many singers before her, Heather got her start singing in church as a child and followed her passion in music through school as an active member of the drama and music programs. When asked about her very first performance, Heather says ‘I sang for my church congregation when I was about nine or ten. I don’t remember what I sang, but I do remember dropping the microphone in front of everyone before I started singing because I couldn’t get it off the mic stand!” She’s definitely come a long way.

iMusicDaily favorite Jesse James continues to impress us with her latest release, ‘Nothing More To Say’. This powerful ballad is quite a contrast from Jesse’s usually upbeat, countrified pop track. In ‘Nothing More To Say’, Jesse proves that she’s more than just another sexy country vixen.

Taylor Swift opened the door for a lot of young female country singers, but I bet she never expected competition. Meet 14 year old rising country star Cheyanne Welch.

Cheyanne Welch, a California native, has been singing and performing since she was 3 years old, which comes as no surprise after we heard her debut single ‘Perfectly Imperfect’. Cheyanne was discovered by a Virgin Records representative at an event in Los Angeles when she was just 10 years old! Since then Cheyanne has made her way to Nashville and has her eyes set on the Country Music Hall of Fame.
