Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood reunite to host “Country Music’s Biggest Night™” for a third time in 2010. “The 44th Annual CMA Awards” airs live from the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville on Wednesday, Nov. 10 (8:00-11:00 PM/ET) on the ABC Television Network.
“Carrie and Brad have done a tremendous job hosting and we are very happy to have them back again this year,” said Steve Moore, CMA Chief Executive Officer. “They have developed a natural rhythm and have a great rapport with the audience – both in the house and our fans watching at home. They each have a great sense of humor and timing, which are two essential ingredients for hosting a live awards broadcast.”
“The CMAs are different from any other awards night,” said Brad. “You’re looking at a roomful of people who love each other. And any new viewer will be pleasantly surprised at what they relate to on the Awards and what they like that they had no idea they would like. For that reason alone, this is the most important night of the year for Country Music.”
“It’s all about Country Music,” said Underwood. “We all live here. This is our community. The CMA Awards are in Nashville, the home of Country Music. It’s great to come here and celebrate that every year.”

Taylor Swift Takes A Break From The Spotlight

In an effort to avoid overexposure, Scott Borchetta, head of Taylor Swift’s record label, announced that Swift will be taking a break from the spotlight.
“She was on an amazing writing spree through December and January, and we were able to go in and cut all those things,” Borchetta says. “If she writes something great between now and July, it will go on the record. She’s been extraordinarily prolific the last six months.”
After winning the Country Music Award for Entertainer of the Year and the youngest artist in history to win a Grammy for Album of The Year, with over 10 million albums sold and 23 songs in the top 40 on the charts, I’d say Swift is already overexposed. The negative reaction to Swift’s Grammy win was probably the deciding factor to keep Swift out of the spotlight.
How long will Swift be laying low? Her third album is due out by the end of the year and her first single is expected to make its way to radio sometime in September, so if you want to catch a glimpse of Swift, you’ll have to track her down on her world tour.
Do you thank Taylor Swift is overexposed?
Lady Antebellum’s Big Debut

Lady Antebellum has quickly made quite a name for themselves. Leading into 2010, the country trio won vocal group and single of the year at the Country Music Awards in November. At the 2010 Grammys, the band won the award for Best Country Performance by a duo or group with vocals for their single ‘I Run To You’. And now, Lady Antebellum’s sophomore album Need You Now has debuted on top of the Billboard 200 chart by selling 481,000 copies, according to Nielsen Soundscan.
This is the biggest debut for a country album since November 2008 and it’s also the biggest debut sales week for any album since Susan Boyle’s I Dreamed a Dream topped the Billboard 200 with 701,000 in November 2009.
Congratulations!
