MTV Launches Nationwide Job Search and Competition for First MTV TJ ‘Twitter Jockey’

Today, MTV and ZYNC from American Express announce the creation of a nationwide search to fill a new, innovative and pioneering job opportunity to serve as the first-ever MTV TJ ‘Twitter Jockey.’ One lucky candidate will be hired to become a brand-new face and voice for MTV across social media platforms, including MTV.com, to expand the two-way dialog between MTV and its global audience. MTV and ZYNC from American Express will launch “Follow Me: The Search for the first MTV TJ,” www.zync.mtv.com, in which 20 social media enthusiasts compete head-to-head in Twitter challenges. Nick Jonas and Bayer Diabetes Care Announce ‘Give Back. Simply Win.’

Justin Bieber and Rihanna To Perform At Kids’ Choice Awards

Nickelodeon has picked the hottest young star in music to headline the upcoming Kids’ Choice Awards. Justin Bieber is set to headline the upcoming awards show guaranteeing ratings gold for Nickelodeon.

Headlining along with Bieber will be Rihanna, who comes as a bit of a surprise. Her image isn’t very kid friendly since the release of her album Rated R.

The Kids’ Choice Awards will take place on March 27th, just a few days after the release of Bieber’s upcoming album My World, 2.0.

Bieber Fever has swept the nation and fans can get up close and personal with Bieber by entering to win an all access pass for four to see the show, walk the orange carpet, see Bieber soundcheck and meet him before the show.

Britney Spears announced today on her official website, www.britneyspears.com, that she is looking for fans to submit remixes of songs from her current album Circus.

The official announcement reads:

“BritneySpears.com is launching the official Britney Spears Circus remix contest today. If you have a favorite track on Circus that you’d like to remix, get creative and record your remixes, then upload the MP3s into the drop box below. The best will be featured right here on the site for all to hear. The competition ends April 24 at 12pm PST.
