Britney Spears Has Officially Sold Over 100 million records!

The RIAA have now confirmed that Britney Spears has officially sold over 100 million records.

Britney Spears’s amazing sales first began in the late nineties, when her debut album “…Baby One More Time“ went Diamond and sold around 28 million copies worldwide. Her next effort “Oops… I Did It Again” was also certified Diamond and sold 20 million copies in total, putting Britney close to 50 million albums sold off her first two releases alone.

Billboard ranked Britney as the biggest selling female artist of the past decade, the best selling teenager in history, one of the highest selling female artists of all time.

Sia Performs “Cloud” and “Clap Your Hands” Live at London’s Roundhouse

Australian singer / songwriter Sia – who recently co-wrote four songs on Christina Aguilera’s new album ‘Bionic’ – performed at London’s Roundhouse earlier this year, and you can now check out some of the videos that have just been released.

‘Cloud’ and ‘Clap Your Hands” are taken from her excellent new album ‘We Are Born‘, which is out on 27th September.

After its release last month, We Are Born debuted at #2 in Australia, and reached the top forty of the Billboard 200.

The first official single ‘Clap Your Hands’ gets its official UK release on 19th September.

Christina Aguilera Performs National Anthem At NBA Finals Again

Christina Aguilera may indeed be a good luck charm for the Lakers according to some fans. Aguilera performed the National Anthem at the last 2 games in which the Lakers won, bringing home the championship trophy for the fifth time.

She sounded great. My only complaint is that the National Anthem is not a pop song. I’d rather hear her sing it as it was originally written without all of the vocal acrobatics. They’re too distracting, especially on the National Anthem.

Christina Aguilera Is Battling With Depression

Christina Aguilera has opened up about her battle with depression on VH1′s The Music Special.

She admits that her depressed feelings are “always right below the surface” but she also acknowledges a lot of her creative inspiration has come from the times during her deepest depression.

She explains, “I do battle with depression. It’s something that is always right below the surface. And it’s almost seductive to go to a place of sadness and darkness… I’m truly thankful for the darkest times in my life. I definitely don’t choose the safe way of living or expressing myself but I wouldn’t have it any other way.”

Christina Aguilera electrified the crowd at the 2010 MTV Movie Awards as she performed a medley of songs off of her new album ‘Bionic’. Xtina sang ‘Bionic’, followed by ‘Not Myself Tonight’, and ended with ‘Woohoo’. The performance ended with the camera zooming in on a pink flashing heart covering Xtina’s personal woohoo. Scandalous!

Christina Aguilera was a surprise guest on last night’s American Idol Finale. Rather than perform her single ‘Not Myself Tonight’ or her upcoming second single ‘Woohoo’, Aguilera chose to perform a moving ballad off her upcoming album Bionic called ‘You Lost Me’. Aguilera slowed things down and reminded us of just how powerful her voice is. You just have to ignore the intro by the top 10 female Idol contestants…
