Susan Boyle is truly the unlikeliest sensation in the history of music, but she has taken the world by storm since she emerged as a YouTube star following her appearance on Britain’s Got Talent.

Boyle is No. 1 once again on the Billboard charts and is expected to sell another 560,000 copies this week according to HitsDoubleDaily, which has her sales total surpassing 3 million copies in the U.S. alone! That’s not so great news for Mary J. Blige who has to settle for the No. 2 spot, selling 340,000 copies.

Susan Boyle and Lady Gaga To Do A Duet?

Susan Boyle Thumbs up

Lady Gaga fell in love with Susan Boyle after watching the famous clip of Susan performing on Britain’s Got Talent. It has been reported that Lady Gaga is one of Susan’s biggest fans.

Lady Gaga said, “I have watched the clip of her singing on BGT (Britain’s Got Talent) a thousand times and every time I see Simon Cowell’s face it makes me laugh out loud. He thinks he knows everything but even he wasn’t expecting that.”

“I love Susan Boyle. She is my woman of the year. She has achieved more in this year than most artists will in a lifetime. This time last year nobody even knew who she was and now she is knocking the world’s most established artists off the album and singles charts.”

Gaga believes the duo could make magic if they recorded together: “Our styles are different. I don’t know if we could work together, but never say never. It would be great to work with somebody of that talent.”

Susan Boyle was surprised with an early Christmas gift on U.K. TV as she received a platinum record for her history-making album sales.

The Scottish spinster skyrocketed to fame after appearing on Britain’s Got Talent earlier this year and fans around the world have since proved their love for the 48 year old by snapping up thousands of copies of her debut album, I Dreamed a Dream. The record-breaking disc has sold more than five million worldwide since its release in November, topping the charts in Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, the U.S. and the U.K.

Her life-changing year was capped off in style as she was handed a triple platinum record during her own TV special, I Dreamed A Dream: The Susan Boyle Story, prompting her to break down in tears as she clutched the prestigious prize.

Journalist Piers Morgan, a judge on Britain’s Got Talent, told Boyle, “To celebrate you, we’d like to give you a little treat, a little surprise. In recognition of your astonishing achievement in selling over one million records, here is the triple platinum record. Very few artists in history have done this. Susan Boyle, you dreamed a dream – this is your dream come true!”

The special aired in Britain on Sunday.

On next week’s Billboard 200 albums chart, the sweet sounds of Susan Boyle’s album I Dreamed a Dream may be replaced by the holiday tunes of Andrea Bocelli as the latter’s My Christmas set could rise to the top.

Boyle is going toe-to-toe with Bocelli for the top slot and each artist’s album could shift somewhere between 375,000 and 400,000 copies by week’s end on Dec. 6. If Bocelli reaches No. 1, it will be the Italian’s tenor’s first chart-topping set. “My Christmas” has been lodged in the No. 2 slot for the past three weeks after debuting at No. 3 a month ago.

Boyle’s I Dreamed a Dream rocked the Billboard 200 this past week when it bowed atop the tally with the year’s best sales frame for an album this year, shifting 701,000 copies, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

With all of the success Susan Boyle has experienced with the release of her debut album I Dreamed A Dream, friends are worried that Boyle is headed for another breakdown.

Susan Boyle’s neighbors fear the worst as she has been acting strangely towards them, perhaps signaling that not all is well with the Scottish singing sensation.

They say that she has been speaking in a strange American accent, complaining that her cat doesn’t love her anymore and blasting tracks from her debut album I Dreamed A Dream nearly 24/7!

Teresa Miller explains:

“It was so loud on Thursday I couldn’t hear Jeremy Kyle on TV! It started about a week before it was released so by the time it was on sale, we already knew every track by heart. I think her favourite song is “Wild Horses” as that’s the one she plays the most.

“We’ve also seen two ambulances and a doctor come to her house. Susan had told me she had been feeling pains in her stomach.”

Another neighbor, Helen Barkhouse, who used to take care of Boyle’s mother before she passed shared a sweet story about our favorite Scot:

“Susan was here wearing a black beret and a necklace and I told her how pretty she looked. She took them off and gave them to me. After her mother’s death Susan got really low. She once came up to me in the supermarket and said, ‘I really need a hug, can you give me a hug?’

“She might be a star, but whenever Susan comes home we’ll make sure she’s properly taken care of.”

We wish her all the best.

Susan Boyle makes history ont the British charts! The debut album of Scottish singer Susan Boyle — who shot to fame after her audition for TV show Britain’s Got Talent — has become the fastest selling album in Britain this year and the best-selling debut album in the UK ever.

The talent star moved 410,000 copies of I Dreamed A Dream — featuring covers of “Wild Horses” and “I Dreamed A Dream” from the musical Les Miserables – according to the Official Charts Company.

“She did it her way and made a dream come true,” Susan’s mentor Simon Cowell told BBC News Monday. “In Britain’s Got Talent she opened her mouth and the world fell in love with her, which is why her album has been the fastest selling of any woman making her debut.”

Songbird Leona Lewis previously held the record for Britain’s best-selling debut album; her first effort Spirit earned over 375,000 sales in 2007.

The upcoming debut album by British singing sensation Susan Boyle has become the largest global CD pre-order in the history of Amazon.com, the online retailer said on Thursday.

Boyle’s album “I Dreamed a Dream” will be released on November 24 by Sony Music Entertainment. It is the first album since the dowdy 48 year-old church volunteer from Scotland took the Internet by storm with her unlikely star turn on the TV show “Britain’s Got Talent” in April.

Amazon said that Boyle’s album was not only the top CD pre-order in the United States, but also the biggest around the world in the 14-year history of it’s web site.

Amazon declined to give their pre-order figures but said “I Dreamed a Dream” surpassed the 2008 record held by “Supermarket Fantasy” from Japanese rock band Mr. Children, 2007′s “Not Too Late” by U.S. singer Norah Jones, and British group Take That’s “Never Forget: The Ultimate Collection” in 2008.

“Susan’s album is clearly capturing the hearts of our customers around the globe,” said Craig Pape, senior manager of music at Amazon.com.

Susan Boyle is still wowing music lovers all over the world. I Dreamed A Dream, the upcoming debut album from the talent show sensation, has achieved the largest global CD pre-orders in the history of Amazon.com.

On Thursday, the online entertainment store announced that the eagerly-awaited album, which is scheduled for release on Nov. 23, has exceeded the record previously set by Japanese rock group Mr Children’s Supermarket Fantasy in 2008.

“Just eight months ago, no-one was aware of the talents of Susan Boyle. Now, she has generated more Amazon pre-order CD sales globally than any other artist,” Julian Monaghan, Head of Music at Amazon, said in statement praising the shy native Scott. “That is an incredible achievement and is testament to the fact that she has captured the hearts of people all over Britain, America and the rest of the world.”

Columbia Records Chairman Steve Barnett added: “One of the things that is so unique about Susan Boyle is her ability to touch people around the world. We’re excited that I Dreamed A Dream holds the new record for global pre-orders and that Amazon’s customers have supported her album in this way.”

Susan Boyle rose to prominence as a contestant on the British talent competition Britain’s Got Talent last spring. Susan lost her shot at the championship during the show’s finale. Instead, settling comfortably into second place behind popular dance troupe Diversity.
