On Saturday night, the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards 2010 was aired live. It was a fun filled event with lots of slime! I don’t know that many people that actually watched it live so I will list the winners below.
A few funny moments that took place included Apolo Ohno speed skating into a large pool of slime which squirted all over the fans. I have to tell you after searching for this clip online I think it might have been a stunt man that flew into the slime pool.
It was also pretty hilarious when Katy Perry was presenting Miley Cyrus with Favorite Movie Actress, but she got slimed right as she was opening the box with the winner’s name!

Ke$ha Tops The Billboard Charts More Than Once

Ke$ha has a lot to celebrate. Not only did her album Animal knock Susan Boyle’s I Dreamed A Dream out of the top spot, but she also has the No. 1 single on the Hot 100 chart with ‘Tik Tok’. Ke$ha is the first artist to top both charts since Leona Lewis in 2008.
But it doesn’t stop there!
Ke$ha’s second single ‘Blah Blah Blah’ skyrocketed to the No. 7 spot on the Hot 100 chart and debuted at the No. 2 spot on the Digital Songs Chart. ‘Tik Tok’ is No. 1 on the Digital Songs Chart. Ke$ha is the first artist to hold down both spots since the Black Eyed Peas did it with ‘Boom Boom Pow’ and ‘I Gotta Feeling’.
Congratulations.

1. Lady Gaga
The entire world went loco for Gaga this past year. Lady Gaga started 2009 at the top of the Billboard Charts and managed to find her way back there with hit after hit. Just Dance, Poker Face, Love Game, Paparazzi, Bad Romance…the list goes on and on. And don’t forget, “Is Lady Gaga a man?” was one of the most asked questions of 2009. Has anyone figured it out?

2. Taylor Swift
Taylor Swift won the heart of America by being the sweetest and most gracious teenager in history, all while winning every major award at every single awards show including Entertainer of The Year in 2009. She accomplished more in 2009 than most celebrities accomplish over the span of their career. Swift’s star got even brighter following the incident with Kanye West at the MTV VMAs.

3. Michael Jackson
The unfortunate passing of Michael Jackson became the greatest celebration of an artist in history. Sales of Jackson’s music topped the charts and the documentary, ‘This Is It’, made from Jackson’s final dress rehearsal, became a blockbuster at the box office.

4. Susan Boyle
Susan Boyle became a YouTube sensation seemingly overnight while she was a contestant on Britain’s Got Talent. Although Boyle did not win the competition, she has taken the world by storm and sold over 3 million copies of her debut album in the United States alone.

5. Miley Cyrus
From her pole dancing routine at the Teen Choice Awards to her significantly older boyfriend, Disney star Miley Cyrus has been a hot topic of conversation. With all of the scandals aside, it was a big year for Miley with the success of her hits ‘The Climb’ and ‘Party In The USA’. And don’t forget that Miley officially became a Diva this year on Vh1.

6. Beyoncé
Two Words: ‘Single Ladies’.

7. Black Eyed Peas
The Black Eyed Peas officially made a comeback and topped the charts with their first single ‘Boom Boom Pow’ for 12 weeks. The Peas went on to score another No. 1 hit with their second single ‘I Gotta Feeling’.

8. Britney Spears
Many people doubted she could pull off a world tour after the rollercoaster her life has been on, but she proved everyone wrong. In 2009, Britney showed the world that she’s back on track and capable of topping the charts once again. Britney released her singles collection and scored a No. 1 hit with her new single ‘3’.

9. Kelly Clarkson
In 2009, Kelly Clarkson proved that life would suck without her. Clarkson released her fourth studio album, All I Ever Wanted, and topped the charts with her first single ‘My Life Would Suck Without You’. Clarkson’s third single ‘Already Gone’ sparked some controversy for sounding strikingly similar to Beyonce’s ‘Halo’, both written by OneRepublic’s Ryan Tedder.

10. Kings Of Leon
It should come as no surprise that Kings of Leon’s hit ‘Use Somebody’ has been nominated for four Grammy Awards. Their album Only By The Night was just named iTunes Album Of The Year. ‘Use Somebody’ became one of the biggest cover songs of the year with acts like Paramore and Kelly Clarkson performing it.
