Singer/songwriter India Arie took it to her Twitter page to let her followers know that she thinks Lady Gaga is “socially irresponsible” for creating the “Telephone” music video.
India Tweeted, “Am I the only one who thinks the telephone video is going a bit too far?” “I agree gaga is being her image… I dig her creative mind But still…Thers a such thing as socially irresponsible (sic). I respect the creative mind but disagree with the ‘choices’ as a dish meant to be served for mass consumption… Crazy to me that the Dark, underbelly, shock at all cost thing is a TREND like asymmetrical hair and big shoulder jackets. Slippery slope!”

Beyonce Named Most Successful Musician Of The Decade

Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) bosses have released their decade list of the bestselling artists, and Grammy Award record breaker Beyonce has been named the most successful musician of the new century’s first decade in America.
She has landed 64 gold and platinum certifications for sales of albums and videos, and 19 for ringtones.
Three albums tied for the decades highest certification at 11-times platinum: ‘N Sync’s No Strings Attached, Shania Twain’s Up! and Outkast’s 2003 double Speakerboxxx/The Love Below.
Gold awards are presented for sales of 500,000 albums, digital songs or ringtones, and platinums are handed out to artists who pass the one million mark. Each multi-platinum award is counted as a separate certification. A music video goes gold at 25,000 units, platinum at 50,000 and multi-platinum for every 50,000 units after that.
Soon enough Beyonce is going to take over the world! Lol.

Beyonce Knowles and Jay-Z are Hollywood’s Top-Earning Couple. The hitmaker Beyonce and her hip-hop mogul husband Jay-Z have topped Forbes’ annual poll of Hollywood’s Highest-Earning Couples, with combined earnings of $122 million between June 2008 and June 2009. That’s a lot of money!
They earned this massive sum through their music, movies, fragrances and endorsement deals with brands including Budweiser and American Express. Beyonce and Jay-Z’s earnings were almost double that of second runners-up Harrison Ford and Calista Flockhart, who have earned $69 million over the past year.

Beyonce Takes A Break From Music

Beyonce is about to wrap up her 11 month world tour next month and she’s ready to to take a break until mid 2010.
She tells USA Today, “It’s definitely time to take a break, to recharge my batteries. I’d like to take about six months and not go into the studio. I need to just live life, to be inspired by things again. I’m going to do random things. I want to go to restaurants, maybe take a class and see some movies and Broadway shows.”
It won’t be easy for Beyonce to stay from music and the studio, but this woman deservers a break! she continued to say, “It will be the hardest thing in the world for me to make myself not do an album and shoot a video and turn it in and say, ‘I’m ready!’ I already have all these melodies and ideas in my head. I have to tell myself, ‘Sit down! Sit down’.”
Beyonce & Jay-Z’s “Crazy In Love” Named “Best Song Of The Decade”

Beyonce’s “Crazy In Love” has been voted the “Best Song of the Decade in a new poll from NME Magazine.
The 2003 single – which features the former Destiny’s Child star and her now husband, rapper Jay-Z – was released as the lead single from Beyonce’s debut solo album Dangerously in Love and went on to achieve massive success, reaching the top spot on the UK and US charts, and even landed Beyonce two Grammy awards.

Beyonce Does Stage Dive At The London O2 Arena

Beyonce did something very un-Knowles-like while playing the famed 02 Arena in London Monday night. The “Sasha Fierce” star stunned fans and onlookers by stage-diving into a screaming audience of concertgoers as she belted out the lyrics to her charttopping ballad “Halo!”

The “Poker Face” charttopper teams up with the R&B’s own “Sasha Fierce” in a stunning high-energy clip that marks the performers’ first partnership. This isn’t the only phone-centric tune the stars recorded together – Beyonce recently lended her vocals to “Telephone,” a new Lady GaGa song that will be included on the re-release of her debut album, The Fame, renamed The Fame Monster.
