Avril Lavigne’s long awaited new single ‘Alice Underground’ from the soundtrack to Tim Burton’s remake Alice In Wonderland will be released in March.
It is not clear if the song will double as her first official single off her forthcoming album, or if it will simply be on the film’s soundtrack.
Early reports claim that Lavigne’s new album will be a return to her more acoustic sound and less of the over-produced sound as heard on ‘Girlfriend’.

Liz Davis has won MTV’s Starmaker!
We knew if from the moment we were first introduced to the country singer on Diddy’s latest reality talent competition.
Week after week, Liz has taken the direction of the judges to improve her natural born talent. Last night, she emerged as a star.
Davis found out she had won the competition just like the rest of us last night, on television. The pre-taped series filmed three alternate endings in order to keep the winner a secret until the finale aired on MTV.
She never once doubted herself as an artist at any point in the competition. She was country from the get go and performed Gretchen Wilson’s ‘Redneck Woman’ on the finale, which happened to be the song that initially secured her spot on the show.
Liz Davis has made history by becoming the first country artist signed to Diddy’s Bad Boy label.
It’s time for someone to give Carrie Underwood a run for her money!

Avril announced her separation – but not a divorce – from the rocker on her website last month.
“Deryck and I have been together for 6 and a half years. We have been friends since I was 17, started dating when I was 19, and married when I was 21. He is the most amazing person I know and I love him with all my heart,” she wrote at the time.
“Deryck and I are separating and moving forward on a positive note…”
The “Girlfriend” hitmaker has moved to officially end her marriage to Sum 41 singer over “irreconcilable differences,” according to papers filed in Los Angeles Superior Court on Friday. Avril lists their date of separation as September 4, 2009, three years and one month after their July 15, 2006 wedding.
The estranged couple has no children and Avril has asked that Deryck not receive spousal support.
