New Details On Amy Winehouse’s Upcoming Album

While attending a movie premiere in London, Amy Winehouse shared some new details about her long awaited new album.
“The album will be six months at the most,” she said.
The Grammy award-winner added that it will be similar to her hit record Back To Black, explaining: “It’s going to be very much the same as my second album, where there’s a lot of jukebox stuff and the songs that are… just jukebox, really.”
While Winehouse’s previous attempts at a live comeback have been slated as ropey at best, the plucky star explained she liked to freestyle on stage.
“I tend to write everything first,” she said. “The live show is pretty much whatever it is for me.”
And on the prospect of a return to form and proving herself again, Amy added: “I just can’t wait to have some new songs on stage, really.”

Congratulations are in store for Amy Winehouse!
Winehouse attended her dad Mitch Winehouse’s birthday party and stayed sober the entire time.
An insider revealed, “She was on top form. A few peopled wondered whether she’d behave. She didn’t turn up steaming drunk and held her own all night.”
On a side note, the party was being filmed for a documentary, which probably had a little to do with Amy’s sober behavior.
Nonetheless, we’re still proud of her!

Glee is getting into the groove with Madonna’s catalogue! Madonna has given the smash FOX musical comedy the rights to her entire catalogue of music and producers are planning an entire episode dedicated to the music of The Queen of Pop.
On Wednesday, Dianna Agron, who plays scheming pregnant cheerleader Quinn Fabray on the series, told The Los Angeles Times that she will be singing one of Madge’s classic jams on an episode airing later this year.
“There’s a Madonna song coming up in episode 10…You get this news that you’re gonna sing all these songs that you grew up listening to and it’s amazing!”

Amy Winehouse’s father says Britain is wasting money on drug addicts who are too quick to say “yes, yes, yes” to rehab.
Mitch Winehouse told lawmakers on Parliament’s Home Affairs Select Committee Tuesday that many addicts who take up treatment as an alternative to a prison sentence have no intention of trying to quit drugs.
He said authorities are too ready to offer rehab to convicted criminals while non-offending addicts have to wait months for treatment.
Winehouse’s daughter is best known for her song “Rehab,” about a woman refusing treatment for addiction.
Her career has been dogged by drug use, run-ins with the law and a turbulent marriage. She was fined in Norway for illegal marijuana possession in 2007.
Lawmakers are holding an inquiry into cocaine abuse in Britain.

We’ve said it before, and it looks like someone is listening!
After the first season of Glee wraps up, a Glee music tour may be follow in the spring of 2010!

FOX Broadcasting President Kevin Reilly has hinted at the future tour idea by saying, “Certainly if these kids become stars in their own right, who knows? Live appearances. Albums. There’s lots of things that could happen.”

Here’s a sneak peak at this week’s upcoming episode of Glee!
This week’s episode is packed full of great covers including Mercedes covering Jill Scott’s ‘Hate on Me’ and a Rachel/Finn version of Jordin Sparks and Chris Brown’s ‘No Air’. But the most pivotal song to the shows story-line this week will be the glee club performance of Avril Lavigne’s ‘Keep Holding On’.

Is Amy Winehouse Broke?

The “Rehab” singer – who hasn’t released an album since her 2006 blockbuster Back To Black, which sold 11 million copies – has spent everything except $1 million — on wild nights out during he rseven-month getaway on the Caribbean island of St Lucia earlier this year.
That’s a sharp contrast from her estimated fortune $10 million in 2008.
“Amy’s voice has made her a fortune, but her lifestyle costs a lot to maintain,” a source spilled to Britain’s Daily Star. “There is still cash coming in from royalties. But a new album or tour would really help top up her coffers.”
I don’t really see her having a bigger album than “Back to Black”……unless she completely turns her life around.

Other cast versions in the Top 200 Songs chart include Heart’s “Alone”(#8), “Maybe This Time” from “Cabaret” (#21), Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believin’” (#18), Celine Dion’s “Taking Chances” (#31), Carrie Underwood’s “Last Name” (#34), Rihanna’s “Take a Bow” (#55), Jazmine Sullivan’s “Bust Your Windows” (#70), REO Speedwagon’s “Can’t Fight This Feeling” (#97), Duffy’s “Mercy” (#105), “On My Own” from “Les Miserables” (#111), Kanye West’s “Gold Digger” (#103), Amy Winehouse’s “Rehab” (#139) and Salt-N-Pepa’s “Push It” (#167).
Glee has had almost 1 million downloads! Amazing.
The first official soundtrack, Glee: The Music, Volume 1, hits stores on Tuesday, November 3.
I think there should be a nationwide Glee tour with the cast of the show!
