Yesterday, Adam Lambert announced that he will be mentoring the Top 8 contestants on American Idol next week. Lambert will also perform his current single ‘Whataya Want From Me’ on Wednesday night’s results show.
“It’s true!” Lambert wrote on his Twitter page Tuesday. “In addition to performing on Idol April 14th, I will be mentoring the top 8 on the 13th. I feel honored to be asked.”
And, following the backlash of his scandalous performance at the American Music Awards, Lambert reassured everyone that nothing of the sort would happen on idol.
“Don’t worry America,” Lambert tweeted. “I will be beyond family friendly. Relax and enjoy. For Your Entertainment.”
Adam Lambert Performs On “So You Think You Can Dance”
American Idol alum Adam Lambert performed his single “Whataya Want From Me” live on the So You Think You Can Dance Season Finale last night. This is his first live performance since the infamous American Music Award’s scandal.
Check out his performance below. I think it was better than the AMA performance.
Adam Lambert Reconsiders AMA Performance, More Focus On Music

In the aftermath following Adam Lambert’s sexually-charged American Music Awards performance, Lambert seems to be having second thoughts.
“I think in hindsight I look back on it and I go, ‘OK, maybe that wasn’t the best first impression to make again, the first second impression.’ I mean, I had fun up there, I had a good time, my dancers had fun and the band had fun.
“I respect people and feel like people walked away from that feeling disrespected. I would never intend to disrespect anybody. So that was not my intention.”
In regards to ABC pulling him from Good Morning America, Lambert says, “I don’t blame them. I got carried away…They gave me a great opportunity to close the AMAs and I would never want to smack that gift horse in the mouth. I think they were taking a leap of faith having me do that and it unfortunately it didn’t work out as we all thought it would.”
“Ellen:airing 2m.Singing ‘whatya want from me’!,” the singer tweeted today. “AMA performance was a one time event. Goin in a new direction now. Focus back on the music…Don’t worry friends: I’m still gonna be me. Always. W/o appologies. Just gonna experiment differently w how I present myself…I’m learning.

Kris Allen Has Weakest Debut Of Any “American Idol” Winner

Kris Allen may be an American Idol, but his debut album sales are nothing to idolize.
The Season 8 champ’s debut album sold a disappointing 80,000 in its first week, landing at No. 11 and earning Kris the weakest debut of any Idol winner, Billboard has learned.
In fact, last season’s Idol runner-up, Adam Lambert, is expected to outsell Allen with his own debut. Lambert’s For Your Entertainment is reportedly on its way to a 225,000-selling release following the star’s controversial performance on last weekend’s American Music Awards.
Does anyone else feel bad for Kris Allen? Where are the millions of fans that voted for him during Idol?!
Adam Lambert Live on The CBS Early Show
ABC’s loss is CBS’s gain!
ABC pulled Adam Lambert from Good Morning America following his performance on the American Music Awards Sunday night in fear that he may be too racy for morning television. CBS, recognizing a good opportunity, scooped up Adam to appear on The Early Show this morning and Lambert delivered a performance that will have people talking, once again, about his talent and not his display of sexuality at the AMAs.
Lambert performed ‘Whataya Want From Me?’ and ‘Music Again’ from his debut album For Your Entertainment.
