American Idol runner-up Crystal Bowersox has married her boyfriend following a whirlwind romance – just months after she was dumped by a former partner on the eve of the talent show finale.
The singer finished second to Lee DeWyze in May and revealed shortly afterwards that her partner Tony Kusian ended their relationship just hours before she was due to take the stage. Bowersox put the heartbreak behind her by embarking on a new relationship with her longtime pal, musician Brian Walker, and the pair announced its engagement last month.
The 25 year old wed Walker on Sunday at a club in Chicago, Illinois where they met six years ago. She tells People.com, “Our lives have never made more sense than they do right now. I can’t believe how incredibly lucky we are to have found so much laughter, love, and light within each other. We’re one happy WalkerSox family.”
Bowersox, who has a son, Tony, from a previous relationship, was one of many who chose the date 10-10-10 as her wedding day.

Will Paula Abdul Return To American Idol For The Season Finale?

Every year the producers of American Idol do their best to make sure the public doesn’t know who will appear during the finale. There have been quite a few rumors circulating right now as to which stars will appear during the live telecast, on Tuesday and Wednesday night on FOX.
The word on the street is Paula Abdul will make an appearance during the finale as part of a farewell to Simon Cowell, who will no longer be a judge on the hit show. If Paula shows up, this will be the first time she has appeared on Idol since she was replaced by Ellen.
Simon Cowell is ready to move on from Idol. He will be kicking off the US version of X-Factor next year. The 50 year old judge is very thrilled about his new foray and he will still remain as “brutally honest” as he has been all these in American Idol.
Will you guys watch the finale to see who wins? Will it be Crystal Bowersox or Lee DeWyze? Or are you going to be tuning in to see Simon’s last appearance?
Patti LaBelle Is Afraid Idol’s Judges Comments Could Lead To Contestant Suicide

Patti LaBelle is so concerned about being the American Idol judges being to harsh on contestants. She is afraid that some of the judges negative comments could lead to a contestant killing themselves.
LaBelle has been approached to appear on the hit show but she declined the invitation and now she feels that the panelists are “not qualified” to give contestants proper feedback.
She tells the Associated Press, “Some of the judges, I don’t think they’re qualified to even judge. The comments that were made, they could make you like, wanna kill yourself.”
She believes that a more positive-inspirational approach would benefit the contestants more.
She continue to say, “If you believe in yourself, just go for it. What do you have to lose? And when people tell you ‘You can’t', you have to say, ‘I can’.”
Do you think Simon Cowell, Randy Jackson, Kara DioGuardi and Ellen DeGeneres are too harsh this season? Do you agree with what Patti said?
Simon Cowell Talks About His Potential Replacements On American Idol

Simon Cowell isn’t sure just yet who should replace him. Here’s what he had to say:
“I know Howard [Stern]‘s name has been in there for a while, but I’m fairly certain that there hasn’t been an approach at any time for Howard to do the show. Perez, he’d be funny. You know, he’s got good taste in music, he’s a personality. That could work…Now, Steve Lillywhite, the record producer? Is he handsome? You’ve got to be good-looking.
“Secondly, I think you’ve just got to know what you’re talking about. More and more now I’m starting to realize with these shows, that we have to put people on the shows that actually know what they’re talking about. Rather than guessing, they’ve really got to have experience, so that you can not just criticize, but you can actually offer constructive advice as well.”
Who do you think would be better, Perez Hilton or Howard Stern?
Kelly Clarkson Chimes In On The Taylor Swift Grammy Controversy

Kelly Clarkson has written an open letter to a record executive who defended Taylor Swift’s off-key performance at the 2010 Grammy Awards by declaring. Scott Borchetta came to Swift’s aid on Thursday after critics picked apart her duet with Stevie Nicks at the Los Angeles ceremony last Sunday. Scott Borchetta felt that Swift should be excused for the slip.
He said, “This is not American Idol. This is not a competition of getting up and seeing who can sing the highest note. This is about a true artist and writer and communicator. It’s not about that technically perfect performance.”
Kelly Clarkson took this quite personal, here’s what she had to say.
In a post on her official blog, she writes, “Wow… Dear Scott Borchetta, I understand defending your artist obviously because I have done the same in the past for artists I like, including Taylor, so you might see why it’s upsetting to read you attacking American Idol for producing simply vocalists that hit ‘the high notes’… You know what, we not only hit the high notes, you forgot to mention we generally hit the ‘right’ notes as well. Every artist has a bad performance or two and that is understandable, but throwing blame will not make the situation at hand any better.”
“I have been criticized left and right for having shaky performances before (and they were shaky) and what my manager or label executives say to me and the public is ‘I’ll kick butt next time’ or ‘every performance isn’t going to be perfect’. I bring this up because you should take a lesson from these people and instead of lashing out at other artists (that in your ‘humble’ opinion lack true artistry), you should simply take a breath and realize that sometimes things won’t go according to plan or work out and that’s okay.”
The pop star then signed her message, “Sincerely, One of those contestants from American Idol who only made it because of her high notes.”
So there you have it! What side are you on? Hahaha

Clay Aiken Drama In North Carolina

Clay Aiken received a lot of votes as an “American Idol” contestant and eventual runner-up. Now, it’s his lone vote that’s drawing attention in North Carolina.
The Wake County Board of Elections scheduled a meeting Wednesday to examine a complaint questioning Aiken’s voter registration in the county. It’s unclear if he’ll attend.
Wake Republican Party Chairman Claude Pope filed the complaint last month, after Aiken called candidates for the county school board “selfish idiots.” Records show Aiken voted this fall in his hometown of Raleigh. He now has a house in nearby Chatham County.
Pope said he wants Aiken’s registration canceled if he no longer lives in the county.
Board director Cherie (sherry) Poucher said the board will decide if there’s enough evidence for a full-blown investigation.
