The original American Idol, Kelly Clarkson, admits that, after touring the world and selling millions of records, even she still gets homesick.

Clarkson tweeted,

“I am a little homesick today. I miss my family. So happy my sis and April are coming to South Africa in a few days. I need some Texas!!”

Clarkson is currently on tour with a show tonight in Copenhagen, Denmark and then she’s off to South Africa.

During a new interview on Chicago’s KISSFM, pop/rock diva Kelly Clarkson revealed that she’s already begun working on her fifth studio album, which will be due out Fall 2010.

“We’re already working on it. [The songs] are really different. The next record is going to be really different”.

She also revealed that she may not write the whole record either, which she blames on constant touring and releasing albums so close together (Clarkson’s current tour does not wrap up until March 2010).

“If I end up liking stuff that I’ve done then I’ll include it, but if I like other stuff better I’ll use that. Sometimes you’re just more inspired I guess, and sometimes if you have records that come out really close together it might be more other peoples songs. Because there’s not enough time to write and sing and perform and do everything.”

Despite penning all the songs from her 2007 album My December, Kelly only wrote on six of the fourteen tracks from her latest effort All I Ever Wanted.

In other news, Kelly’s latest single ‘Already Gone’ continues to rise on the Billboard charts after reaching a new peak of #17 this week. Rumor has it that ‘Don’t Let Me Stop You’ will serve as the fourth single from All I Ever Wanted, which is now close to being certified Platinum.

No Way! Now Kelly’s copied Miley Cyrus! Listen to Kelly’s ‘If I Can’t Have You’ and Miley’s ‘Fly On The Wall’. We’ve never seen someone copy so many other singer’s songs on one album. What is going on here?! Pay close attention to the choruses in both songs…

It’s a hold-steady kind of week on the Billboard 200 as Kelly Clarkson’s “All I Ever Wanted” (S/19/RCA) remains at No. 1 for a second frame, shifting 90,000 (down 65%). U2′s “No Line on the Horizon” (Island/Interscope/IGA) moves up one slot to No. 2 with 76,000 (down 42%) while the-Dream’s “Love Vs. Money” (Radio Killa/Def Jam) slides down two positions to No. 4 with 56,000 (down 63%) in its second week.

As iMusicDaily.com officially reported last week, Kelly Clarkson’s next single will be ‘I Do Not Hook Up’ off of her latest album All I Ever Wanted.

Today, Clarkson unveiled the cover for the new single and, yet again, some major retouching has been done. But does anyone really care??? No!

For those of you who pay attention to who actually writes songs these days, this soon to be hit was written by Miss Katy Perry, American Idol’s Kara DioGuardi, and Greg Wells.

Here’s a video of her performance from last week’s SNL. She really needs to hire a new stylist to hide that junk in her trunk.

With her first single ‘My Life Would Suck Without You’ quickly becoming a world wide hit, it should come as no surprise that her highly anticipated albumAll I Ever Wanted debuted at #1 on the Billboard Top 200. Critics were quick to slam her thrid album My December when Kelly strayed away from the pop style that made her second album such a success. On All I Ever Wanted, Kelly reminds us of the original Idol champion that we all fell in love with. Congratulations, Kelly!

‘My Life Would Suck Without You’ jumped from the number 97 spot on the Billboard Charts to the number 1 spot earlier this month and it has already had over 1 million downloads in the US alone.

Kelly will be launching a tour this summer with her first show at Universal Studios in Orlando on March 28th. For tour dates and ticket information, clickHERE.
