Amy Lee Reveals New Details On Upcoming Evanescence Album

Amy Lee, the lead singer of Evanescence, is back with a new album, but don’t expect the same sound that you’re used to. Amy is the only original member of the band remaining on this album. Amy and her band parted ways awhile ago. The band has gone on to form a new band, We Are The Fallen, with lead singer Carly Smithson from American Idol.
As for the sound of the record, Amy says:
“It’s not an organic record. Our idea is to take synthetic and atmospheric sounds and find a way to blur the line between organic and synthetic… There is something really cool happening in music right now. There are bands that sound like they’re from another time — it’s like ’80s throwback music with analogue synthesizers and Moogs. I love it. I’ve been listening to a lot of La Roux.”
Do you think fans will like the new direction the band has taken?
New Details On Rihanna’s Upcoming Album

After her brief journey to the dark side, Rihanna’s returning to the lighter side of pop with a new album that’s set to be released later this year. Producer Sean Garrett is dishing the details exclusively to Rap-Up.com.
“It’s a fucking smash. I gave her a humongous radio record. It’s just so infectious. It’s about getting past any drama and just being happy to be alive. It’s an encouraging record. It feels great and it’s got great tempo…Whenever I think of Rihanna, it makes me happy. To be honest, I wasn’t really that excited about hearing her in a dark zone. I love Rihanna for being that girl… She’s like the lil’ fantasy chick—nice brown skin, beautiful woman with a Caribbean swagger that’s ridiculous.”
In addition to Sean Garrett, Rihanna is reportedly working with Ne-Yo and David Guetta. It’s looking like her new album will be more radio-friendly than Rated R.
“Whenever I think of Rihanna, it makes me happy. To be honest, I wasn’t really that excited about hearing her in a dark zone. I love Rihanna for being that girl… She’s like the lil’ fantasy chick—nice brown skin, beautiful woman with a Caribbean swagger that’s ridiculous,” said Garrett.
We couldn’t agree more. We’re excited for the return of the real Rihanna.

New Details On Christina Aguilera’s Upcoming Album

Christina Aguilera is revealing some new details on her upcoming studio album in the new issue of Marie Claire.
Aguilera’s album, which will be released in the Spring, will be titled Bionic. The first single will most likely be a track called ‘Glam’, which is described as a “poppy, hip-hop-inflected throwback to Madonna’s Vogue.”
The article also mentions the “addictive electronic” title track ‘Bionic’ and a ballad called ‘Lullaby’ which left the interviewer in tears.
When I hear the word throwback associated with Aguilera I get nervous. I wasn’t a big fan of her throwback on the Back To Basics album.

When someone says epic, I think of Titanic.
Electro-pop writer/producer/artist Jon Asher has been contacted by Spears and her management to submit material for the pop princess’ upcoming seventh studio album.
Asher says, “For now, I’ve only submitted songs for the next album. I’m trying to develop an exciting new sound for her. Give Britney more of an ‘Epic’ feel…Epic Pop is a genre that I am pioneering at the moment. Music that has meaning. It’s not your everyday pop love bug sound. Its upbeat rhythms and sounds with meaningful emotional lyrics that people can feel. Something that truly moves you.”
So will this be the Titanic of all Britney albums? Come on Britney, move me!
