The judges on American Idol utilized the judges save tonight and saved Michael Lynche, aka Big Mike, from going home. It was a shocking moment when Ryan Seacrest announced that Andrew Garcia was safe and Big Mike would be singing for his life. The judges decision was unanimous, which was expected.
How in the world is Tim Urban still in the competition? He wasn’t even in the bottom three this week. If you’re voting for Tim Urban, please comment and tell us why. We’d really like to know what you see in Tim Urban.

Yesterday, Adam Lambert announced that he will be mentoring the Top 8 contestants on American Idol next week. Lambert will also perform his current single ‘Whataya Want From Me’ on Wednesday night’s results show.
“It’s true!” Lambert wrote on his Twitter page Tuesday. “In addition to performing on Idol April 14th, I will be mentoring the top 8 on the 13th. I feel honored to be asked.”
And, following the backlash of his scandalous performance at the American Music Awards, Lambert reassured everyone that nothing of the sort would happen on idol.
“Don’t worry America,” Lambert tweeted. “I will be beyond family friendly. Relax and enjoy. For Your Entertainment.”

We applaud the effort and mission of the ‘We Are The World’ remake, but, with all of the hype, the final product was just bad. Saturday Night Live took a moment to do their own remake and comment on the latest version of the song by spoofing stars such as Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Adam Lambert, Gwen Stefani and more who were not apart of the remake.
Jennifer Lopez, who was the host and musical guest, did a pretty decent job mocking Rihanna by adding RiRi’s signature ‘Eh!’ after every phrase.

Adam Lambert is on the attack in his latest interview with Britain’s Gay Times.
Lambert’s debut album For Your Entertainment sold 200,000 copies in it’s first week and was kept out of the top spot by Boyle’s massively successful debut album I Dreamed A Dream
“If only it weren’t for Susan Boyle! I’m happy for her success, but that album is terrible. “Wild Horses” is the one that made me laugh the hardest. I just died when I heard it, I was crying with laughter. It was the most horrendous, sacrilegious treatment of that song!”
Wow. Boyle’s album might night have been your cup of tea, but c’mon Adam, she blew everyone’s albums away, not just yours. Just accept it. The old cat lady beat you.

If you pay attention to the press, it’s easy to think that Adam Lambert is easily outselling Idol winner Chris Allen. But, as it turns out, that isn’t the case at all!
Lambert may have had a bigger first week in sales than Allen, but, according to the numbers for their singles, Allen’s ‘Live Like We’re Dying’ has sold just under 500,000 downloads and is #27 on the Soundscan singles chart while Lambert’s For Your Entertainment has sold just over 200,000.
Let the numbers speak for themselves. Reports claim Allen is already working on his follow-up album.

Openly gay American Idol singer, Adam Lambert, is so grateful that his parents accepted his homosexuality at a young age. He feels very fortunate that he grew up in such an accepting liberal household.
Lambert officially “came out” in his tell all interview with Rolling Stone magazine, shortly after American Idol season 8 ended last year.
Since Adam Lambert finished American Idol he’s shocked fans during his first live television performance post idol. During the American Music Awards in November Adam embraced his sexuality and made out with his keyboardists while performing, as well simulating oral sex with one of the dancers. This performance created a an uproar with TV viewers. There were reportedly over 1,500 complaints filed with ABC.
Adam is proud of who he is, and he’s grateful his parents accept him as well. He tells music channel Fuse, “My dad is a Deadhead (fan of rock band Grateful Dead), my mom’s a Jewish-American princess from Jersey. They never got hung up on stuff like that, and I’m fortunate, because there’s a lot of people who come from households where it’s not OK.”
Do you think Adam is going to perform on American Idol Season 9, which starts in about a week?!
Music Stars Reflect on 2009 And Talk Plans for 2010

Billboard caught up with some of our favorite celebrities and asked them about their personal highlights from 2009 and what they’re planning for 2010.
2009 has been year filled with new faces on the music scene. Will it prove to be the year of one hit wonders, or will we be hearing more from these new artists in 2010.
Here are some highlights from the Billboard interviews:
Ke$ha says 2009 was a whirlwind for her. The “TiK ToK” singer says she, “worked really, really hard for the moment she could say she was No. 1.” But what was the highlight of her 2009? She got to leave her waitressing job. She says she told her employers, “I quit, bitches!” In 2010, look out for her album “Animal” on Jan. 5, and soon thereafter, a big tour. “I’m just trying to cover the world in glitter, one country at a time.”
Adam Lambert is so over the controversy surrounding his bawdy performance at the American Music Awards in November (“It’s all in the past,” he says). 2009′s highlight for him was the “American Idol” finale. He calls getting to sing with Queen and Kiss “totally surreal.” In 2010, Lambert will be coming to a town near you, possibly starting with a spring tour that “pulls out all the stops: costumes, fire, dancers, the whole nine yards.”
Justin Bieber’s plans for 2010 include releasing the second half of his album so the “ladies… don’t have to wait.” He says his favorite moment of 2009 was getting to perform at Wembly in London, “even though I broke my foot. I’ll never forget it.” See the cast for yourself in the video as Bieber performs “Love Me” live in New York.
Jay Sean celebrated his first Hot 100 No. 1 in 2009. He says, “how many people manage to get a No. 1? It was such a blessing.” How did he react to finding out his single “Down” had topped the chart? “I dropped the phone!” Sean lets us in on the fact that he may possibly work with Taylor Swift in the new year.
Orianthi first wowed American crowds as the dexterous guitarist for Michael Jackson. She was prominently featured in the footage that makes up the doc “This Is It.” As you might guess, the Australian says that the best moments of 2009 for her were “getting to audition for Michael Jackson’s band and working with him. It was life-changing.” Up her sleeve for 2010 is the release of her debut album, “Believe,” which features a song with Steve Vai and “guitar solos on every track,” as well as a tour in Feb. or March.
The Fray were pleased with the warm reception to their self-titled second album in 2009, they say. But the top moment? Easy. The record was nominated for a Best Pop Vocal Album” Grammy on Dec. 2.
Adam Lambert’s Album Plummets Down The Billboard Charts
