American Idol star Adam Lambert reportedly told the British tabloid, Daily Star, that he will be performing with the original members guitarist Brian May and drummer Roger Taylor of the pop-cult band Queen this summer. The original singer of Queen, Freddie Mercury, passed away in 1991.
“The intention is to pay tribute to Freddie and the band by singing some f—ing great songs,” he said. “It’s to keep the music alive for the fans and give it an energy that Freddie would have been proud of.”
“After the EMAs, I heard faint little slithers of a backlash from people saying: ‘You can’t replace Freddie Mercury.’ But I already knew that,” he said. “There’s no intention in my mind of replacing Freddie. That’s impossible. The way I’m choosing to view it is that it’s a great honour and one I’m in no way going to shirk … Being asked to front Queen is the best thing that can possibly happen.”

The 29-year-old entertainer will perform an acoustic version of “Aftermath” TONIGHT (March 10) on American Idol! Adam is sure to give an amazing performance tonight, but what do you think of the remix??? Thoughts???

After the huge success of Adam Lambert’s last single, “Whataya Want from Me”, Adam is ready to unwind and have some fun in the music video for his latest single “If I Had You”.
The video is basically Lambert in the forest having a psychedelic acid trip with all his friends. I know…interesting right?
“Basically, what it’s saying is no matter what color your skin is, no matter what religion you are, no matter what your sexuality is … we can all party together,” he said. “And all this other stuff — money, success, fortune, fashion, glam — it’s all great, but it doesn’t mean anything if you’re not connecting.”

Adam Lambert Performs ‘Whataya Want From Me’ Live On American Idol

On last night’s results show, Adam Lambert returned to the stage to perform his current single ‘Whataya Want From Me’. Lambert performed a slower, more dramatic version for the Idol audience and proved what he had to offer the Idol contestants as their mentor, how to deliver a dynamic performance.
Ken Warwick, an executive producer on American Idol, recently said of Adam’s career:
“at the moment [Lambert's] not doing quite as well [in his career].” Hopefully, his Idol appearance will put him “back firmly where he belongs, as a major star,” and adding that “it kind of breaks my heart to see someone with that much talent struggle a bit.”
And Adam responded with quite the opposite sentiments:
“It’s so sweet of him. I don’t feel like I’m struggling at all. I think things are right where they need to be. My single ‘What Do You Want From Me,’ is just breaking into the Top 10 right now. I’m really glad that they had me on the show. I really enjoyed helping the other contestants.”
