Taylor Swift SNL

Taylor Swift will host Saturday Night Live on Nov. 7, NBC announced Thursday.

Will she do a skit making fun of the Kanye West incident!? Let’s hope so!

The 19-year-old, who performed on the sketch comedy series in January, will be hosting for the first time, and she’s already got a few idea.

“I’ve been thinking about skit ideas for a long time,” Taylor told The Associated Press. “There are definitely some hilarious things that have happened to me over the past couple of months that I think will be pretty substantial skits.”

The starlet called the chance to host the series — now in its 35th season — “mind-blowing” and says it’s been difficult to keep the appearance under wraps since producers asked her during the summer. She adds, “I love being around people who I feel have a different kind of creative genius. And the funny genius is definitely a fascinating one to be around.”

Kanye West is still struggling with the fall-out following his stage invasion at the MTV Video Music Awards, according to tourmate Lady Gaga.

The “Paparazzi” singer reveals the rapper “feels bad” about ruining Taylor Swift’s big moment by protesting her Best Female Video win at the beginning of the ceremony earlier this month.

Gaga says, “He’s a good guy and everybody makes mistakes, and he feels so f–king bad. He really does.”

And the pop star feels it’s time for people to stop taking aim at West: “Everyone likes to focus on gossip, but he’s changed music and he’s really prolific and an incredible person, and I think it’s unfair to judge somebody on one mistake they’ve made. That moment really portrayed him in a way that he really isn’t. It was just a random moment.”

West has since publicly apologized for his actions at the VMAs. Jay-z even commented a few weeks ago, saying “He (Kanye) didn’t kill anybody.”

Jay z Defends Kanye West

Jay-Z defended Kanye West on BBC Radio 1′s with Jo Whiley. Here’s what he had to say:

“Of course it was rude because it was her moment, but that’s the way he really felt…I think it was rude, but the way they’re treating him … He’s on the cover of every paper. He didn’t kill anybody. No one got harmed.”

The rapper admitted that Kanye was “inappropriate at the time,” but justifies the stunt because he is “a super-passionate person.”
