Adele Ties Beatles Record With New Single

British songstress Adele’s latest single, Someone Like You, is currently No. 1 on the UK Charts, climbing 47 spots after her performance on the Brit Awards. Adele’s previous single “Rolling in the Deep” is at the No. 4 spot, her album 21 is at No. 1, and her debut album 19 is at No. 4. Having 2 songs and 2 albums simultaneously in the top five ties Adele with a record set by The Beatles back in 1964!

Adele Collaborates With OneRepublic’s Ryan Tedder

After the success of her Grammy award winning debut album 19, Adele has enlisted the help of OneRepublic’s Ryan Tedder for her follow-up album.

It seems like just about everyone is working with Tedder these days. After the recent controversy surrounding the similarities of certain tracks given to artists by Tedder, fans are concerned that Adele’s new album will have Tedder’s style all over it, but Tedder has gone on the record to assure fans they have nothing to worry about.

Tedder says –

“19, that album was so absolutely mind-blowing to me, so simple and beautiful that I don’t want myself as a fan to interfere with her sound.

“Yesterday the song we did was very much Adele – it was 10% Ryan, 90% Adele.”

He says he told the singer: “I don’t want to put you through the Ryan Tedder machine where you end up with a song that sounds as much like Ryan Tedder as it does Adele.”

Carrie Underwood Expected To Top Billboard 200 Chart

Carrie Underwood is on track to achieve her second No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 as her just-released Play On should debut atop the chart this week. Insiders suggest the 19/Arista Nashville set could sell over 300,000 copies by week’s end on Sunday (November 8th) night.

The new album’s lead single, “Cowboy Casanova,” moves up two slots to No. 3 on the Hot Country Songs tally and has so far peaked at No. 11 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
