Paige Williams has just released her newest single ‘Lost’, the follow-up to her debut CD Welcome To My Life. With an edgier sound and an emotionally raw vocal, ‘Lost’ has taken Williams in a new direction and has gotten a lot of industry insiders talking. Insiders believe that ‘Lost’ will officially put Williams on the map. The comparisons to Kelly Clarkson are understandable, but Williams gives Clarkson a run for her money when she hits the chorus of ‘Lost’ and displays the incredible vocal strength and ability that she has developed over the years. With an insanely catchy hook that leaves the audience begging for more, one thing is certain, we would be lost without Paige Williams.

Last night, iMusicDaily.com was at Universal CityWalk to catch the KIISfm Breakout Artist Showcase. KIISfm is looking for the hottest up&coming music act to perform at KIISfm’s Wango Tango concert on May 9th. Not only will the winner get to perform, but the chosen act will also win $10,000.
Among the 5 acts that performed at last night’s showcase was singer/songwriter Eddie Gomez. From the moment he took the stage and strummed the first chord on his acoustic guitar, Eddie quickly caught the crowds attention. His music is catchy, yet unique. His beats are addictive and his melodies are soulful and upbeat. This is one artist to keep your eye on. For more info on Eddie Gomez, check out his Myspace page www.myspace.com/eddiegomezmusic.

Australian born singer/songwriter Chanel Campbell has been crafting her skills since she was a kid. Her dad managed a rock and roll band, so she spent much of her childhood surrounded by musicians who helped shape the course her future would take.
At 15, her family finally settled in Nashville. It was then that she began collecting vinyl records and became heavily influenced by artists of the 60’s. When it comes to her songwriting, she says, “All I want to do is write songs filled with honest emotion and then convey them through performance.”
This is one talented songstress to keep an eye on.
JARED LEE – WHO IS HE?

He’s amazing is what he is. I did not know him either until about 10:00 last night when his voice filled the walls of The Green Door with pure bliss. My mouth was on the floor. Take the soul from Gavin Degraw and the song writing from the Fray, the weight from One Republic, and you’ve got Jared Lee. Are you intimidated?
Sadly, nothing on the internet does him any justice. The songs on his myspace are overproduced and don’t carry half of the weight they have when you hear them live. If I had it my way, I would buy a CD of exactly what I heard last night. Then he could come out with other versions of some of his upbeat songs with awesome beats like what Timbaland did with One Republic. The songs have so much versatility, but I think live is the best bet – Grey’s Anatomy would eat them up in a heartbeat, haha. Here is a video that does him maybe 1/4 the justice of what I experienced last night. Enjoy!
