Meet Nashville recording artist Danielle Pipitone! This fresh new talent has country music fans falling in love with her debut single ‘Ever Since You.’ Danielle is influenced by some of music’s greatest stars including Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood, Stevie Wonder, and Mariah Carey.

New Artist Spotlight: Elina

Though Elina Wells established herself in the Los Angeles singer-songwriter scene, it is her Hawaiian heritage that influenced her upcoming sophomore solo release, Mesmerized. Elina learned to play the ukulele in middle school, and picked it back up in recent years, giving several songs on Mesmerized an island sound. It fits the album’s overall feel-good, energetic vibe.

Her career kicked off in 2006 with solo album Elina, which included Dream Like New York (co-written with husband Tyrone Wells). The song was featured in the animated film Everyone’s Hero, as well as the Mets promo for their World Series run and at the home games for the New York Knicks.

In 2009 Elina collaborated on an album with fellow singer-songwriter, Tamila Zahrndt, entitled Tamila and Elina. In 2010 Elina and Tyrone released a duet album entitled Different As Can Be, which went to #2 on the iTunes Singer-Songwriter Chart. Tyrone and Elina performed their duets live in front of large audiences across the country on Tyrone Wells’ Songs and Stories fall tour 2010 and on the Rock Boat and Cayamo cruises.

Elina’s CD Release show is this Friday at Room 5 Lounge. Here are the details:

New Artist Spotlight – Liz Loughrey

Earlier this week, Liz Loughrey wowed us with her cover of Jessie J’s ‘Who You Are’ and now we’ve got an exclusive interview for you to find out more about this rising Canadian star who is set to be Canada’s biggest export to the States since Justin Bieber.

At 15, Loughrey’s confidence and ability exceed that of most people twice her age. In 2010, Loughrey found herself sharing the stage with Marianas Trench, one of Canada’s most successful bands. After submitting a video to a competition organized by the band, Liz was chosen to perform “Good To You” with the band’s lead singer Josh Ramsey in front of a sold out crowd of thousands at Toronto’s Direct Energy Centre. Following her performance, fans of Marianas Trench quickly spread the word online about Loughrey’s incredible vocal ability through social networks like YouTube, Twitter, and Facebook, helping to establish a firm fan base for the budding young star.

New Artist Spotlight: Jessie and the Toy Boys

Meet Jessie Malakouti. Voice and creative mastermind behind Jessie and the Toy Boys. Originally from Southern California, Jessie and the Toy Boys was inspired by Malakouti’s experience singing, dancing, and acting her way through LA. After a short time living in Europe where she immersed herself in the underground club scene, Jessie andthe Toy Boys was finally born. What she has created is a sound that brings listeners to the next sonic dimension of electronic-rooted pop music. The first single, “Push It” (featuring a playful rap interlude by Yelawolf), combines an urgent club bassline with vibrant, sixties-spiked girl-group colors. Combine that with Jessie’s sex-kitten vocals and rock-diva qualities, and the song is irresistible.

New Artist Spotlight: Marirose – I Want Love

In August of 2010, DJs Frankie J and DJ Alex of RnBSpot.com premiered a song called ‘I Want Love’ on their radio show and claimed it was an exclusive unreleased Rihanna track. The infectiously upbeat pop dance track quickly caught on and circulated online. To date, ‘I Want Love’ has been played over 201,000 times on YouTube alone, only 5 months after the song was originally leaked. Although the voice on the song sounds somewhat similar to Rihanna, to the surprise of many, it belongs to 15 year old emerging pop star Marirose.

‘I Want Love’ is an insanely addictive song that’s been stuck on repeat for days, despite the release of Britney Spears’ new single ‘Hold It Against Me’. Actually, play these two songs back to back and you’ve got yourself one hell of a dance party!

Not only does Marirose deliver an incredible vocal for someone who’s only 15, she also co-wrote ‘I Want Love’ with pop singer Kristinia DeBarge and producer Jordan Omley of The Jam.

Internet Celebrity and YouTube Star Michael Buckley featured ‘I Want Love’ this past week on his show What The Buck and viewers immediately took a liking to Marirose’s unforgettable vocal style. The word on Marirose as pop’s newest discovery is quickly spreading online and we’ve caught the fever!
