Amy Lee Reveals New Details On Upcoming Evanescence Album

Amy Lee, the lead singer of Evanescence, is back with a new album, but don’t expect the same sound that you’re used to. Amy is the only original member of the band remaining on this album. Amy and her band parted ways awhile ago. The band has gone on to form a new band, We Are The Fallen, with lead singer Carly Smithson from American Idol.
As for the sound of the record, Amy says:
“It’s not an organic record. Our idea is to take synthetic and atmospheric sounds and find a way to blur the line between organic and synthetic… There is something really cool happening in music right now. There are bands that sound like they’re from another time — it’s like ’80s throwback music with analogue synthesizers and Moogs. I love it. I’ve been listening to a lot of La Roux.”
Do you think fans will like the new direction the band has taken?

Jennifer Lopez has left her longtime record label, Sony Epic Records. Her latest album, Love?, was supposed to be released in April. Now it appears that Love? (Her seventh studio album) could never be released. .
Jennifer’s manager Benny Medina says in a statement: “Jennifer had a wonderful relationship with the Sony Music Group, and they have shared many successes together, but the time was right to make a change that best serves the direction of her career as an actress and recording artist. She is grateful and appreciative to everyone at Sony for all that they accomplished together.”
Maybe Mrs. Lopez shouldn’t have put her career on hold? That means she wouldn’t have had her twins, Max in Emme in 2009 though.
Rihanna Did A Lot Of “Venting” On Her Latest Album, “Rated R”

Rihanna spent a lot of time “Venting” on her latest album, “Rated R.” She had plenty to vent about after being beat up by her ex-boyfriend Chris Brown in February of 2009.
The fight that took place inside of Chris Brown’s car a year ago following Clive Davis’s Grammy’s party, left Rihanna battered, and bruised. Chris Brown eventually was put on probation and was also required to perform community service.
She tells Australia’s The Daily Telegraph, “Making this album was a lot of fun I have to say, it was really good for me. The vocal performances definitely were influenced by the emotion, the feeling.”
“I wasn’t just singing lines. I was singing every word and every word meant something because it was my story. It was a lot more personal, a lot more real… I was venting.”
Thank god she didn’t go back to Brown. We wish you the best Rihanna!
Heidi Montag “I’m not a Rihanna”

In a recent interview with MTV, Heidi Montag says she’s no manufactured star like Rihanna.
“I really wanted to go back to when The Beatles and Michael Jackson used to make albums. They spent years on making albums because they wanted the quality to be so good, they wanted the sound to be so good, and that’s really what I did. I’m brining it back to that old mentality of music and how it should come out.”
“I did everything step-by-step, whereas a Rihanna is just given a song, she sings it for a couple of hours and then walks out and then her album comes out”.
“I, literally, the last three years, have been in studios almost every day, and I’ve put more into this than anyone could possibly comprehend. I have spent all my money. I am literally broke because I did this independently.”
I wonder what Rihanna has to say about this..

The official Billboard chart won’t be released until tomorrow Jan 13th, but it looks like newcomer Ke$ha will takeover the top spot that has been held by Susan Boyle. Initially, Ke$ha was expected to sell 100,000 units in the final week leading up to the charts which would have put her neck and neck with Boyle, but Ke$ha has surpassed that expectation by selling 150,000 and will likely claim the top spot tomorrow.
And how does Ke$ha feel about beating Boyle?
“…I feel kinda mean. But no, she got to kick it at the top for a while, so I don’t feel too bad.
OK, if I’m number 1, I’ll be in New York… so let me think about this. I’m going to round up my band of trannies and we’re going to march down Broadway with fireworks.”
Update on Christina Milian’s Next Album

“Not scrapped. I was just taking a break but def not done! I think it’s important to find the right direction for the new stuff we do.”
“So I am, and will be, listening to some new stuff and discovering my growth thus far and apply that to the new album. W2V (welcome to Vegas) is actually called “Elope” and was the title track to the album originally. So… I will be back in the studio very soon.”
The-Dream & Tricky Stewart will be producing Christina’s new album.
Christina and The-Dream are currently expecting their first child. Congratulations.
Getting To Know Ke$ha

Ke$ha has been the act to follow over the past year and she’s quickly become the it girl of 2010. Ke$ha’s debut album Animal is in a race to knock Susan Boyle out of the top spot on the Billboard Charts and it looks like she’s going to do it.
In a recent interview with the Los Angeles Times, Ke$ha reveals that her record, which she wrote on every track, documents her life as a struggling artist in Los Angeles.
“I wrote on every song on the record, and that’s something I’m really proud of. We had 200 songs that we narrowed down to 15. “Steven,” for instance, it’s about a guy I’d been stalking. He’s this pretentious hipster to the max, he was a total loser but I was obsessed with him. It’s a vulnerable song! It’s all about “why won’t you call me?”
“I’m just speaking about men the way they’ve written about women for years. If you listen to LMFAO, all their songs are about how women are pieces of meat. I find that kind of stuff funny, so I want to do it back to them. It’s not meant to be taken seriously, I just wanted to give them a taste of their own medicine. There’s such a double standard for women.”
And what can we expect from Ke$ha in the future?
“This record very accurately documents my last four years of being absolutely broke in L.A. It’s honest, it’s real and I hope people can appreciate it. There
was a good pop song in everything I did back then, like the backstabbing girl who stole my car. But the last song, “Animal,” that’s my philosophy on life, and that might be more the direction I go in the future. It’s about remembering that we’re really all just animals, and I indulge that more often than most people. I never said I was going to be the best influence.”
So what do you think of Ke$ha’s debut album Animal?

Rapper Romeo (Real Name is Percy Romeo Miller, Jr.) has been dropped from his university basketball team after just one season playing on the court. Romeo won a full scholarship from the University of Southern California in 2007 and served as point guard in the 2008-2009 season.
Romeo lost his position on the team and he is unwilling to share the details, but he did tell AllHipHop.com, “I’m sad that my basketball season at USC will end early due to a violation from an incident that happened two years ago, which is not fair.”
Romeo is going to make sure that this incident won’t affect being successful in 2010. He is going to focus on his new album, which is titled, “Box Office Hit” scheduled to be released in August. He’s even planning on launching his own record label titled, Next Generation Records.
He even mentioned acting in a big motion picture, here’s what he said, “I’m happy about the new opportunity I recently received to play in this big blockbuster movie. I can’t talk about it but I can tell you that I won’t be a vampire.”
Does anyone know when he quit using the name, Lil’ Romeo……maybe after he went through puberty?
