That means that all of Carrie’s singles released to date have reached the top spot. Incredible!

Carrie’s debut album Some Hearts, which was released in 2005, has just reached the 7 million copies sold mark, making her the best selling American Idol winner. Some hearts is also the second best selling album in the past 5 years.

The RIAA have now confirmed that Britney Spears has officially sold over 100 million records.

Britney Spears’s amazing sales first began in the late nineties, when her debut album “…Baby One More Time“ went Diamond and sold around 28 million copies worldwide. Her next effort “Oops… I Did It Again” was also certified Diamond and sold 20 million copies in total, putting Britney close to 50 million albums sold off her first two releases alone.

Billboard ranked Britney as the biggest selling female artist of the past decade, the best selling teenager in history, one of the highest selling female artists of all time.

Multi-platinum rock band Thirty Seconds To Mars single “This Is War” has hit #1 on the alternative radio airplay charts this week, after an 8-week run at #2. This is the band’s second consecutive #1 single from their 3rd studio album This Is War (EMI’s Virgin Records) which was released in December, 2009. The album’s first single “Kings & Queens” spent three weeks at #1 in January. Thirty Seconds To Mars now has three #1 songs and four top 5 hits at the format. The platinum selling A Beautiful Lie’s “From Yesterday” reached #1 in 2007 and “The Kill” peaked at #3 in 2006 before becoming the first song in alternative radio history to be retired from the Billboard chart after a 52-week run. “The Kill” was named the #1 Alternative song of the last decade by AOL Radio listeners. Their new single “Closer To The Edge” is already climbing the airplay charts across Europe and will impact U.S. radio in August.

International Pop Icon Kylie Minogue returns to the Billboard 200 this week as her 11th studio album Aphrodite (EMI’s Astralwerks Records) debuts at #19, marking her highest U.S. chart position since 2002’s Fever. It is top 10 in such major markets as New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, DC, Seattle, Miami, Chicago and Boston. Aphrodite became Kylie’s fifth #1 album in the UK, hitting the top spot a full 22 years to the week since her debut album Kylie entered the chart. The album also made Kylie the first solo artist in the history of the UK charts to have a #1 album in four different decades. Around the globe Aphrodite debuted in the top 10 in thirteen different countries including #1 in Mexico, #2 in Australia, Switzerland and Spain, #3 in Austria, France and Germany and top 5 in Belgium, Holland, Ireland and Taiwan.

“I’ve been completely overwhelmed by the reaction to ‘Aphrodite’ around the world and to hear that the album has got to number 19 in the U.S. is the most amazing news. I am ecstatic!” said Kylie.

Eminem, the Nielsen SoundScan Artist of the Decade for 2000-2009, is already kicking off the new decade with more of the same. His latest album, Recovery (Aftermath Entertainment/Interscope Records), makes its debut atop the charts this week with sales of 741,000 copies; easily outpacing any other release for this year, and setting a bar that no other album has reached for first week sales in almost two years.

The album’s first single, “Not Afraid,” debuted at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in May. The song was only the 16th in the 52-year history of the Hot 100 to debut at the top spot, and the first rap song to do so in 13 years. The second single from the album, “Love The Way You Lie” (featuring Rihanna), is already showing tremendous growth at radio, and debuts at #1 on the Singles chart this week, with sales of 337,000.

“It’s been 12 years since Eminem signed to Aftermath and Interscope,” remarked Jimmy Iovine, Chairman, Interscope Geffen A&M Records. “This is a real watershed moment in his career. In my opinion, with this album Eminem’s impact on popular culture, and as a lyricist and writer, puts him on course to be mentioned in the same sentence as Dylan, Springsteen, and Bono.”

Katy Perry has broken radio records in the U.S. with her hit: “California Gurls.”

The summer pop anthem currently holds the top spot in charts around the globe, including the U.S. and U.K., and now she’s breaking radio chart records in America.

According to Billboard.com, Perry logged 11,816 plays among the survey’s 132 panelists for the week ending June 27 – that’s an average of 90 plays per station.

That passes Ke$ha’s 11,224 plays of “TiK ToK” in February. Lady Gaga is third on the radio play record list with 10,859 weekly plays for “Bad Romance” earlier this year.

It appears that this girl that’s famous for kissing another girl is having quite a spectacular year!

Katy Perry logs the fastest No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 by an artist signed to Capitol Records in nearly 43 years, as “California Gurls,” featuring Snoop Dogg, rises 2-1 in its fourth week on the chart.

The song makes the quickest sprint to the summit by a Capitol single since Bobbie Gentry’s “Ode to Billie Joe” likewise reached the top spot in four weeks on the chart dated Aug. 26, 1967. Five months before Gentry, the Beatles’ “Penny Lane” had also zipped to No. 1 in four frames.

Perry’s hit crowns the chart thanks in part to its selling 318,000 downloads (up 18%) in the chart’s tracking week, according to Nielsen SoundScan. The cut leads Digital Songs for a third week. On Radio Songs, “California Gurls” jumps 10-6 (89.2 million in audience, up 25%, according to Nielsen BDS).

Miley Cyrus’ single “Can’t Be Tamed” quickly took the # 1 spot on iTunes’ singles chart, when it became available on May 18. The # 1 debut followed Miley’s stellar performance on ABC’s “Dancing With The Stars” on Tuesday night.

The single debuted April 30 on MySpace Music, and instantly became the biggest premiere of 2010. On Top 40 radio stations, “Can’t Be Tamed” was the # 1 most added single in its first week, with more than 100 stations now playing the single. The worldwide premiere of Miley’s “Can’t Be Tamed” video on E! News May 4 garnered impressive ratings on television and at E!Online.com. It also reached # 1 on MySpace and Vevo.
