Steven Tyler Plans On Touring With Aerosmith In Europe

NEW YORK (AP) — After turmoil that included public squabbling, threats of a lineup change and a rehab stint, Aerosmith is back and ready to rock.
The Rock and Roll Hall of Famers have announced their “Cocked, Locked and Ready To Rock” European summer tour — with Steven Tyler.
The band made the announcement Thursday. It also posted a video on its Web site in which Tyler, sitting with the rest of the band, jokes: “I just auditioned and I got the gig.”
“We’re coming your way and rocking your world! Look out because here we come,” he says as he looks at guitarist Joe Perry and the group breaks out in laughter.
Aerosmith, which has been one of rock’s enduring bands over the past three decades, has been in limbo since Tyler fell off a stage during an August concert in South Dakota, injuring himself and forcing the band to cancel the rest of their summer tour.
After that, Perry expressed anger that the group had been sidelined and said Tyler needed to get his act together. For his part, Tyler was quoted as saying he was interested in going solo, and soon the band was talking about replacing Perry with another singer.
In December, Tyler checked in to rehab for a painkiller addiction, a problem he blamed on years of injuries suffered while performing with the band.
In an interview this week, bandmate Joey Kramer said: “Everything right now in Aero-land is very copacetic. … We will carry on and do what we do best.”
As far as their latest drama, he said: “The one common denominator that we still all have is that we all love to get up on stage and rock out, play music and bring joy to people. And we let the other drama, as of late, kind of filter itself out by the wayside and concentrate on more of what’s important, which is the playing and the business at hand. ”
The band, best known for hits like “Walk This Way,” has a long history of discord and overcame heavy drug abuse in the 1970s and early 1980s, but has been a mainstay in rock since enjoying a revival more than two decades ago.
Their tour starts in Sweden on June 10.

Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) bosses have released their decade list of the bestselling artists, and Grammy Award record breaker Beyonce has been named the most successful musician of the new century’s first decade in America.
She has landed 64 gold and platinum certifications for sales of albums and videos, and 19 for ringtones.
Three albums tied for the decades highest certification at 11-times platinum: ‘N Sync’s No Strings Attached, Shania Twain’s Up! and Outkast’s 2003 double Speakerboxxx/The Love Below.
Gold awards are presented for sales of 500,000 albums, digital songs or ringtones, and platinums are handed out to artists who pass the one million mark. Each multi-platinum award is counted as a separate certification. A music video goes gold at 25,000 units, platinum at 50,000 and multi-platinum for every 50,000 units after that.
Soon enough Beyonce is going to take over the world! Lol.

Celine Dion is returning to Las Vegas for a new three year show which will be starting March 15, 2011.
The powerhouse singer performed in Las Vegas between 2003 and 2007. Her concerts in Vegas grossed more than $400 million dollars. Following her Las Vegas show, she went on her “Taking Chances” world tour which she completed last year.
I am sure there are thousands of excited fans. One very special person is very excited for her new show, her husband, Rene.
“We’re very happy to return to the Las Vegas stage. The schedule will be human for Celine, to avoid tiring her out. This second show in Las Vegas will be as amazing as the first adventure, with A New Day…” says Dion’s husband Rene Angelil.
The show contract is for three years, with 70 shows each year, and Dion will perform in the same Caesars Palace theater originally built for her “A New Day Concert Series” nearly 7 years ago. News of superstar’s return to Sin City comes of the heels of reports that songstress Barbra Streisand turned down a massive $100 million offer to take up a residency in the city.

Janet Jackson is back with her newest video for her current single ‘Make Me’.
From the black and white video to the space age digital backgrounds and costumes, this video reminds me a lot of the ‘Scream’ video with Janet’s brother Michael.
