Teen star Demi Lovato is going back out on the road, a year after entering treatment for bulimia and other emotional problems.
Lovato, 19, will start a 10-city U.S. tour in November to celebrate the success of her latest album “Unbroken” and its debut single “Skyscraper”, her spokesman said on Friday.
Lovato, the former star of Disney Channel’s “Sonny with a Chance”, suffered an emotional breakdown in November 2010 when she pulled out of a concert tour with the Jonas Brothers and entered a three month treatment program.
She has since spoken openly about her 10 year battle with eating disorders and said she started cutting herself at the age of 11.
Lovato has since quit the TV series that made her one of Disney Channel’s biggest international teen stars, saying she wanted to focus on her music career.
Lovato has performed recently in New York and Los Angeles to promote the September release of “Unbroken”. The new mini-tour will start in Detroit on November 16 and end in Chicago on December 3.

Adele cancels U.S. dates due to vocal hemorrhage

British singer-songwriter Adele is canceling the remainder of her sold out U.S. tour due to a hemorrhage in her vocal chord, her record label said on Tuesday.
The Grammy-winning singer pulled out of 10 dates, starting with Atlantic City in New Jersey on October 7 and finishing with three gigs in Texas two weeks later, on the back of her bestselling album “21″ that has produced hits such as “Rolling in the Deep” and “Someone Like You.”
“I have absolutely no choice but to recuperate properly and fully, or I risk damaging my voice forever,” the 23-year-old singer said in a statement on her website. “I have great confidence in believing you know how much this upsets me, how seriously I take it and how truly devastated and annoyed I am by this.”
Adele was already forced to postpone several U.S. dates earlier this year due to vocal chord issues and was finishing up a tour in Britain when her illness reappeared and she decided to cancel the remaining U.S. dates, said a statement by Columbia Records.
“My voice is weak and I need to build it back up. I’m gonna be starting up vocal rehab as soon as, and start building my overall stamina in my voice, body and mind,” the singer said. “I will be back and I’m gonna smash the ball out the park once I’m touring again. I apologize from the bottom of my heart, sincerely I do.”
6th person dies from Indiana state fair accident

So tragic. Family members say a 22-year-old college student is the sixth person to die from injuries suffered when a stage collapsed at the Indiana State Fair last weekend.
Along with several people who died immediately, at least four dozen were injured when a strong wind gust toppled the metal scaffolding holding lights and other equipment and sent it plunging into fans awaiting a concert by the country group Sugarland.
The Star Press first reported 22-year-old Jennifer Haskell died Friday morning at a hospital in Indianapolis. Her uncle, Mike Whited, announced her death in a statement later Friday.
Haskell was entering her senior year at Ball State University, where she was studying sports medicine
State Fair spokesman Andy Klotz tells WTHR-TV the fair expresses “its deepest sympathies to her family.”

Lady Gaga, Coldplay, Bruno Mars and Nicki Minaj are among a slew of performers who will swarm on Las Vegas in September for the inaugural iHeartRadio Music Festival, Ryan Seacrest announced on Monday.
Seacrest will host the event, which is being produced by radio giant Clear Channel.
As might be expected from an event being hosted by Seacrest, there’ll be a heavy “American Idol” factor to the proceedings, with current “Idol” judges Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez among the performers, along with former “Idol” competitors Carrie Underwood and Kelly Clarkson.
Seacrest called the upcoming festival, which will be held on September 23 and 24, a “once in a generation gathering of artists and fans” and “a true, must-see music event.”
Other notable performers at the inaugural event include Alicia Keys, Rascal Flatts and the Black Eyed Peas, with more performers to be added to the roster throughout the summer.
Britney Spears Performs On Good Morning America

Britney Spears made her first big appearance to promote the release of her new album Femme Fatale. Spears ‘performed’ 3 songs on Good Morning America in San Francisco. Femme Fatale is expected to be a big album for Spears, who is also scheduled to appear on Jimmy Kimmel tonight.
We all expect Britney to lip sync, but we live for her dancing, but it just was not good. Sadly, it was reminiscent of Spears 2007 VMA performance. Sluggish moves that lacked the sharpness and excitement of the dancing fans have loved from Spears left her looking sloppy and out of shape.
Spears also came off as clearly not interested or excited when making her big announcement that she’s going on tour with Enrique Igslesias this summer.

The woman who choreographed most of Lady Gaga’s videos, Lauriann Gibson, will direct the concert special.
HBO says that Lady Gaga, who was carried into the Grammys Sunday in a giant egg, will put on some brand new moves for the special.
Gaga’s latest album “The Fame Monster” won three Grammys.
Jimmy Buffett Falls Off Stage In Australia

Singer Jimmy Buffett fell off a stage at the end of a concert in Sydney and was rushed to the hospital.
Someone had to have shot video footage of this?
Australia’s Daily Telegraph reports that audience members saw the 64-year-old fall face first off the stage and hit his head.
Buffett’s manager then took the stage and urged fans to leave the auditorium, the Hordem Pavillion.
The singer was brought to Sydney’s St. Vincent’s Hospital.
Wednesday night’s concert was Buffett’s fifth and last in Sydney on his current tour.
Get well Jimmy!
Janet Jackson Is To Tour in The US and Canada!

Pop star, Janet Jackson, is bringing her Number Ones, Up Close and Personal tour to the U.S. and Canada this spring.
The tour will kick off March 7-8 with a two-night stand in Las Vegas and wraps with another pair of shows April 22-23 in Las Vegas.
The setlist will be made up off all the hits that make up Jackson’s 2009 compilation, “Number Ones.”
“These concerts will be different from anything I have ever done. I will be as up close and personal as possible,” Jackson said in a statement.
“These concerts are not about special effects. This is a love affair between me and those of you who have supported me and my work for all these years. I’ll be singing and dancing from my heart. The music will all be songs that you’ve made number ones for me. Let’s go!
Jackson is also slated to release “True You,” a book reflecting on her experience with diet and exercise, on February 8.

Lauryn Hill To Perform On A Rooftop On New Year’s Eve

Former Fugees singer, Lauryn Hill, is to give a rare concert on the rooftop of New York’s Gansevoort Park Avenue Hotel on New Year’s Eve.
Although it will be a very exclusive, and intimate show, organizers are said to be working on a deal for the performance to be televised or streamed online. We are sure we are not the only ones that would love to see this!
Lauryn is reportedly working on a new album, her first studio LP since 1998′s ‘The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill’. Hill recently revealed she changes the arrangements on some of her classic songs at her gigs because she wants to keep them fresh, but accepts her fans may not appreciate her efforts.
The ‘Everything Is Everything’ hitmaker said: “I have to upgrade them a bit so that they’re still exciting and fresh and they’re new. There’s something almost jazz-like in the way I approach performances. I’m not sure if the audience really understands. We need, or at least I need a certain amount of spontaneity, a certain amount of improvisation every show.”
Let’s hope that Lauryn Hill has a huge comeback in 2011!
